This hotel is lovely. The staff are soooo friendly. The food is really good. The room was comfortable and clean. Pool area was peaceful. Pool was so clean. Directly on the beach although there are only a few sunbeds.

Lovely hotel, spotlessly clean with very friendly and helpful staff. The maid service for the rooms is second to none. Linen is very regularly replaced a delightful touch being the various designs used when replacing the linen which includes pool towels. One snag overcome by the helpful staff was the lack of a lift to bring luggage to first floor rooms. We chose a sea view room which had a an excellent view though faced the Sun for much of the day. The nearby erstwhile main road to Elounda caused little noise disturbance even when balcony doors were left open at night. Public areas inside are very stylish and like those outside well kept. Their extensive nature and consequent low guest density tends to lose any homely a**osphere. The dining area is roofed though on three sides is semi open to the elements. We had lovely weather and the semi open sdes were generally a bonus though being an October visit evening temperatures were getting towards the cool side. No need to go out early for a mad pool dash though some ****** are always exceptions. Plenty of very comfortable loungers normally available round the pools. There is a huge choice of foods at both breakfast and dinner. The food was extremely good value for money. The cold selections at both breakfast and dinner were absolutely excellent. The hot foods often disappointed mainly because they were usually not hot enough for our taste, a notable exception being the made to order breakfast omelettes. It may seem anathema to some but the provision of a microwave or two would help. Very pleasant location on a small bay with a beach and sunbeds separated by a headland from Ammoudi beach and the seafront promenade to the town centre. It is about a mile walk (or 7 euro taxi ride) in to the town centre along the road which can be hard enough going in heat. At night pavement irregularities make the section from the Ammoudi mini roundabout to the top of the rise over the intervening headland tricky. Immediately to the right of the hotel are two tavernas and a supermarket. Stavros run by the lovely Maria Lovely Jubbly is extremely pleasant and has a proper Greek rural feel. You are highly unlikely to escape without being rakied. On the main road to the left are two more tavernas with four more near the Ammoudi roudabout. Town centre is packed with tavernas on of our favourites being Ofou To Lo by Kytrepatria beach between the harbour and marina. Whatever you do hire a car and get out of town to discover what Crete is really like. Visit the nearby Lasithi and Katharo plateaux. The nearby the villages of Kritsa, Milatos Beach are worth visiting. Off the Sitia main road head for lovely Mochlos. First time go in via Sfaka village and enjoy the views as you hairpin down to the coast but return via the shorter route. Plenty of parking at Mochlos but you have to follow the signs and go through the village o find the village car park. Myrtos on the South Coast is also

This adults only hotel is a gem, the staff are very helpful, friendly and courteous. My husband and I spent 7 nights in a fabulous room with a beautiful view of the inlet and a balcony. We have stayed in more expensive hotels but the Vasia Ormos beat them all, I don’t know why it’s classed as 3* on some sites, it’s much better than a 3* rating, the tea and coffee in the room was a welcome addition, the hair dryer was the best I have used in a hotel room. There is a mini market 5 ministers walk away and the best restaurant Kri Kri is a 10 minute walk, take a left on to the main road and it’s on the right. The walk to the port takes about 20 minutes it’s a pleasant walk and there are coffee shops along the way . The port is busy with shops and restaurants, a taxi back to the hotel is 7 euro if you don’t fancy the walk. The glass bottom boat trip is good value for money and provides a view beneath waves , very interesting and fun.

This a a very nice hotel located just outside Agios Nikolaos. We went there as part of a package tour with Jet2 Holidays. We were a bit disappointed with our room although this was probably due to unrepresentative photos on the Jet2 Holiday website. We booked a superior room with sea view. In reality we had a direct view of a car rental outlet (together with the noise of the barking guard dog). We did have a sea view but it was a side view only. Our balcony was small and the metal chairs did not encourage staying very long. These irritations aside, it is a comfortable hotel and the staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and everything worked. We were half board and the breakfast and evening meals were good. There are two pools and a snack bar where you can buy snacks, ice cream and drinks. All good quality but very expensive. Its really quiet in the evening. No entertainment and the expense of buying drinks at the hotel drives most people into town. The hotel is located just outside AdNik and its too far to walk. The road traffic zooms past pedestrians and the footpaths aren't great. So, I wouldn't recommend walking very far. A taxi at 7 Euros will get you to AdNik town centre. Lots to do and we enjoyed it there. So, I should really take my own advice and check with TripAdvisor rather than rely on the package holiday company information.

What a brilliant place to stay! Stunning, quiet, very clean hotel. Great spot as 20 m there’s a sandy beach with always free loungers. There is usually a free spot at the pool as well. Good food plus pretty great wine. Above all the hospitality and friendliness of staff if spot on! You can’t do it for the people it must come from within! I haven’t even left yet but want to come back.

We stayed here last week and really enjoyed our stay. The staff are super helpful and friendly and always a smile , brother and sister team in restaurant are great as is Sofia in main area . We were half board and food was excellent plenty choices. We had superior front facing room with sea view and balcony , the reviews are pretty accurate the superior rooms are really the view as we had a transit room around the back which was same size etc. Rooms basic enough not much space but cleaned every day to good standard. Only only comment was water wasn’t put in every day which should be a given also the air con switched off every day by maid. We arrived early morning and there was a plate of food and bread left which was welcome. Pool area was small and not many beds but wasn’t a problem , could have done with someone just keeping an eye on organising the beds etc to keep it looking tidy. It could have done with some background music at pool area and maybe in lobby as there was nothing. After dinner no music or entertainment at all so if you looking for that it’s not for you. The bar prices are high which is only complaint really, if the prices were lower we would have used outside bar area as it’s a nice spot with lovely view. €5 for bottle water and €7 for a large beer is pricey given other places. All in all happy with our choice thanks to all staff !

I was so stressed after hard working spring so I find this place very peaceful and beatyfull. I don't want it to be like home. Absolutely everything was working well. Enjoyed a good breakfast (lot of different food), other things in the evening. It's clean and the staff is very helpful. Short walk to Agios (some day are hot) but I do not care, it's easy to get a taxi. Some restaurants even nere. Beds are good. It's clean. Your can relax on the beach or the pools. I swam there every morning for my self. Good start for an holiday. Market shop about 5 min, go right. I liked this place, the hotel and now I'm at home with a relaxing mind.

I’ve given this hotel 4 stars but that doesn’t mean it’s not a lovely hotel. We arrived at 3am due to flight delay. The hotel had a plate of cheese/meats & bread waiting for us & some water as well as a lovely platter of fruit in our small fridge in the room. A lovely touch was a card wishing us a happy wedding anniversary & bottle of wine which was so kind. We stayed in a double room on ground floor “garden room”. Really comfy beds & the entire hotel is spotlessly clean even if a bit worn in places. Not much storage in room. No shelves etc in the bathroom just an under sink unit so we pretty much lived out of the suitcase which was fine for just a week. We were half board & food was delicious & plentiful. Staff are very polite although we didn’t really get to know them very well as not using bars etc. Here’s were 4 stars come from. There was a 30 euros charge if you want to use the room safe, drinks are much more expensive than surrounding bars/restaurants for example litre bottle of water € 5/glass of Prosecco €14/ pint local beer € 7/spirts with mixer €14. Snack bar also expensive so we went out initially to Stavros round the corner & although the owner is very friendly the food was not great. We also ate at KriKri just outside the hotel turn right then left directly across from the dive centre & food is well priced & delicious. In the hotel there’s no entertainment at all not even music of any kind in the hotel bar in the evening which appeared to be relatively empty. Keeping the room for an extra 6 hours was €30 which also allowed us to eat at the restaurant by the kind permission for the management which was fab. There is a daily tourist tax of €3 which is added to your hotel bill. When we were here there was weather warnings due to the heat so we didn’t venture too far as advised but we did visit a couple of beaches which were fairly local. Ammoundie beach is walking distance. It’s €14 for 2 beds & parasol & cafe is not cheap either but it is a lovely beach spot. We preferred Almyros beach which is short taxi €13 & beds/parasol €8 with a freshwater cold river which was amazing. Their food kiosk is well priced & good fresh food & drinks too. Make sure you get them to order your taxi back to the hotel. There’s a fabulous wee supermarket round the corner from the hotel which sells absolutely everything. I recommend trying out the homemade Raki with honey & cinnamon it’s delicious. Just ask Maria. There are buses but we didn’t try these out. On our last day we walked to the port & had lunch in a beautiful garden seafood restaurant called Pelagos . The garden area is gorgeous & I bet even better in the evening with beautiful lighting. Good food & wine! We really enjoyed our stay & way more relaxed than we expected as we had planned some potential trips which we didn’t do due to the extreme weather so just stayed very local. There’s way more to see & do but we just didn’t as I say due to the weather.
