Pictures Suites

Such a beautiful, small, family run business. Incredibly warm and welcoming, price includes breakfast beside the pool every morning (I thoroughly recommend the Greek omelette!). Just a truly wonderful hotel, would definitely stay with them again!

My wife and myself are nearing the end of another (this is our third visit in 3 years!) most enjoyable 12 night stay at Pictures Suites which is, without doubt, one of the best small (6 suites) family run Boutique properties on the Island. As made clear in my two previous Reviews, the suites are all comfortable, generously spacious with all the required amenities. Our 2 bedroom/bathroom (both with standalone showers) Master Suite (identical to Presidential one below without the lovely swimming pool) not only has Panoramic views of the 1.5 Km Agios Stefanos beach (ideal for a pre-Breakfast walk) but guarantees (weather permitting) a lovely sunset every evening. Whilst the facilities take some beating , the staff - with owners Nea and Michaelis very much to the fore - are the prize asset. Kostas is a Jack of all trade and has a fund of local information/tips. Christos is a superb chef and most of his dishes were the best I had during a month of travelling around Greece. Sofia also kept out suite prestine but - more often than not - changed our bed linen on a daily basis! Evangeliste is also a most welcome addition and can turn her hand to most things! They all go out of their way to not only make guests feel welcome but part of their extended family. Not surprisingly, therefore, that we now consider Pictures Suites our home away from home and have already made plans to visit again in Sept/Oct 2024!

We have just returned from a 9 night stay at Pictures Suites in Agios Stefanos, Corfu. We had such an amazing time I felt it deserved an immediate review! We had originally booked this wonderful hotel as a 25th wedding anniversary for June 2020. Unfortunately the pandemic meant that this was not possible. My husband contacted Pictures Suites, and they were wonderful. They offered a credit or an indefinite extension so we could rebook when the world was more normal. We chose the latter and went at the end of June/beginning of July. Communications from Nia were prompt and professional, and the whole transaction was so smooth. The hotel is fantastic, we stayed in room 120, which is a first floor apartment with a sea view balcony, a fantastic bathroom, small kitchenette, and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on! The room was spotless, each room is deep cleaned before guests arrive, and is cleaned whenever you require it. The rooms are very modern and beautifully decorated. Breakfast is served at the poolside bar. The choice is really good - my husband had the omelettes (Greek, Special, Cheese or even with frankfurters!). I opted for Greek yoghurt and honey with pastries. Lots of choices of cereal and drinks too. Huge praise to Kostis and Mary who served breakfast, ran the reception, served drinks round the pool, supplied fresh beach towels - even on one occasion mowed the lawn! They were unfailingly smiling and really welcoming and friendly. As we had originally booked through Secret Escapes, we were entitled to a meal at the hotel - we opted to have it on the balcony of our apartment. The food was wonderful, served by Kostis - an amazing evening. There is a large pool, very well designed, and very quiet as there are only 7 apartments in the hotel. Most afternoons we had the place to ourselves for several hours, relaxing and eating the delicious fig ice cream served from the pool bar. The beach is accessed via some steps and is beautiful. The hotel supplies loungers free to guests on the beach. We were given a free bottle of ice cold water when we arrived at the beach every morning which is a wonderful gesture. There is also a beach cafe which is worth a visit - the watermelon and feta salad is delicious. We had the best time - everyone was so friendly, and genuinely wanted our stay to be the most wonderful experience - which it was! We are already planning a return visit next year.

After our visit last July, my wife and myself are holidaying in Agios Stefanos again and are rapidly coming to the end of another most enjoyable 12 night stay at Pictures Suites. On this occasion, we stayed in the Master Suite (immediately above the Presidential one - same layout but without the swimming pool!) which has panoramic views of both Agios Stefanos beach and the surrounding areas. No problems at all on the accommodation front - indeed it was good to see the majority of the other 6 suites occupied throughout our stay. Even so, there was no shortage of space at the lovely swimming pool at the front of the property which my wife made good use of. The most enjoyable part of our holiday, however, was seeing Michaelis, Nea and their team (some new faces including Costis & Mary) again. They are all delightful and couldn’t have been more welcoming - Nea even took Barbara and myself to one of the nearby Villages to have our respective hair cuts.. We are also all going out for a farewell Dinner this evening which is lovely way to conclude our visit. I purposely say latest visit as we shall certainly be back again next year and I would certainly have no hesitations in recommending others to try out the delights of Picture Suites for themselves. Rest assured, you won’t be disappointed!!

There are not many hotels, where the people do not have to fight for the first line sunbeds at the swimming pool. At Pictures Suites, there are just 6 suites and a reasonable big swimming pool. The best suite has its own swimming pool, so don't worry that there won't be a place!

Pictures is a small boutique hotel with only 7 suites on the beach front of a small village. As a result it is wonderfully peaceful and very private. The pool area is beautiful with plenty of space, lots of sun beds and a pool bar should you want anything. The whole place is just delightful and relaxing. There are shops and good restaurants within 5 minutes walk. The suite we stayed in was very comfortable, clean and had the most amazing view of the sea. The bed was very comfortable with the linen changed daily, which is a very indulgent treat. Lovely to have some water, wine and soft drinks in the fridge on arrival. The beach is just down a few steps, with lots of sun beds, cold water and a towel also provided. There is some unfinished building work as the hotel is planning to have a spa at some point. I’m sure this will be a great addition to the facilities. All the staff were very helpful and friendly for our whole stay and I felt nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely few days at Pictures, would thoroughly recommend, and are looking forward to going back. Thank you!

Every aspect of this property was perfect, the large spotlessly clean room with kitchenette, the view from the terrace of the beach, the large pool with sun beds, the lovely breakfast, the included beach beds & umbrella and the helpful owners and staff especially Costas and Mary. Our deal included a dinner which we chose to eat on our terrace and which was very good. The location in a quiet area but only a 5 minute stroll to the bars and restaurants. All in all they could not do enough to help and make your stay special.

We recently returned from a 2 week stay in the Pictures suites. We choose this type of accommodation as we are not fans of big all inclusive hotels and a lot of private villas are outside the villages. Pictures suites was exactly what we wanted. A villa style accommodation right in the town, on the beach with a lovely quiet pool. My husband and I travelled with our 15 yr old daughter and a friend. It was ideal. We stayed in the master suite with 2 big bed rooms and 2 bathrooms. A lovely kitchen cum sitting room and 2 balconies. The suite was immaculately clean. The view was spectacular. We had lovely breakfasts by the pool each morning. Then went down the private steps to the beach where the suites had very comfortable beach chairs with complementary bottles of water. Nearby is a great beach bar and lovely restaurants. The beach itself is never too busy and has local speed boats for hire. So lots to do. We had very relaxing 2 week holiday. Thanks to the fantastic Kostas, Mary and all the staff for such a great holiday.

The hotel is located uphill from the village centre and all its hubbub. Rarely have we ever come across an hotel that just exceeded our expectations, it was so peaceful and tranquil. There are only seven rooms in the building but each has its own character. Ours was located down some stairs. For that we were rewarded with a huge patio, a real gem, and fabulous views over the Ionian Sea. There was also a table, chairs and 2 sun loungers at our disposal. Our room was spacious and fairly plain yet functionally decorated. The bed was large and very comfortable. The side cabinets were softly upholstered which was a thoughtful idea. There was plenty of seating inside and outside of the room. There was a well provided kitchenette with bottles of water (tap water was undrinkable), cleaning and sanitation products. A bowl of fruit was provided on arrival. There was a safe box; bathrobes and slippers were also provided. The bathroom was large though rather unutilized. The imaginative breakfast was served at the poolside with orders made the night before. Dinners were also provided, again to order. But it was the staff that have made Pictures Suites so welcoming: friendly and helpful, especially the effervescent Kostis. They made our stay truly unforgettable. The hotel is expanding, with indoor pool and spa as well as an additional bedroom so there is plenty to recommend it.
