We stayed here as part of a Camiño trail. I’m not sure if I would say, go there. I found it really in the middle of nowhere. If you arrive at noon or 1, there is nothing to do, except sit in the grounds. We were very hungry when we arrived, and the couple are lovely, mean well….picked us up, but no offer of a drink or snack…had to wait til 7 to eat. The room felt like we were in a guest room of a house….not for actual paying guests. The sheets were very old and thin, the bathroom was moldy and the toilet made a running noise. The room was stuffy,and if you opened the window flies were in….due to cows next field over. .

The property is a beautiful country house outside Palas de Rei but don’t worry about getting there as one of the owners will pick you up from the central square at Palas de Rei. The house is beautiful, clean, quiet, and very cosy. It has everything you need but most importantly, its surroundings are absolutely stunning: lots and lots of green areas to enjoy the lovely landscape in Galicia. I absolutely loved how quiet the place is and the that only you can hear are the bird singing! The owners Monse and Miguel really enjoy serving their guests and I can’t praise them more for always ensuring I was comfortable and happy. Another amazing aspect is that Monse cooks at a high level. The dinner she offered was top notch, as well as the super varied breakfast. I will definitely be back and I do recommend Casa Blanco.

Great hosts. Monse and Miguel went our of their way to make our tour superb. The room was comfortable and dinner was delicious. Miguel picked and took us back to the Camino de Santiago trail and was very special, saving additional walking to the hotel. Bags were delivered by the previously arranged company and got there timely. We would definitely rate Casa Blanco as one the best places to stay along the way.

The Casa Blanco is a little piece of heaven for Camino travelers and anyone else in the area. The rooms in the old house are charming and the grounds beautiful. The dining room is conducive to visiting with others or dining in a small group, and the food well prepared and served. The best part is the host family--from a son and daughter to Montse and Miguel, all take part in hosting and the result is a very special stay.

After a long day on the Camino trail, the pick up from City Hall in Pallas De Rei was easy. A quick call and the car was there in 10 minutes to pick your party up. The room was clean, modern and had all the power you needed to charge up your electronics. Getting a drink to let the day sink in before dinner was just at your asking. A quaint garden area to let the air in your tires was welcomed. Then came dinner. Beautifully prepared appetizer, dinner then dessert presented. The wine suggested was the best in the house and not the most expensive on the list. Warm welcome, easy check in and great dinner. Exactly what was needed after a demanding day on the trail!

After cycling hard for 30 miles in torrential rain, we arrived cold and very wet but were greeted with the warmest welcome. Given sleepers and a heater to dry our sodden cycling clothes and shoes! The dinner of steak and local wines was a highlight of the trip. The owners couldn’t have been better- a highlight of our Camino.

Country hotel about 6km from Palas de Rei. Really nice rooms, lashings of hot water, fantastic meals and very friendly service. Snacks and coffee from honesty bar, very good value. Great castle about 2km walk away. Thanks Maria and Thomas for a wonderful stay.

This is a heavenly place. Truly rustic, yet superbly comfortable with perfect hosts in Thomas and Maria. We stayed four nights and abandoned plans to eat out a couple of times because dining here was so enjoyable, at a reasonable price. It's a beautiful area, totally tranquil, so it's a shock to see a huge road bridge being built less than a mile away. Hopefully it won't intrude on this little bit of pardise.
