Best Western Ile De France Hotel & Spa

We had the pleasure to stay one night in December at this hotel as a family (4 people + 1 dog, 3 rooms). We chose it because the location was convenient for our purpose, and also as it looked quaint and comfortable. We were not disappointed with our stay. The rooms are nice and spacious and the staff very friendly and efficient. The large free car park was also one of our reasons for choosing this hotel and we really appreciated having this facility. One of our vehicles being 100% electric we also really enjoyed having several charging stations on site on the hotel car park. We got to use the Spa which was lovely to use, although maybe a bit dated and the access from the hotel by foot in the dark not great (uneven floor). The breakfast was great in terms of quality and quantity. We would definitely return.

A welcoming staff upon arrival, however, a bad experience when checking out from the front desk staff who had an attitude when I requested for a refund on 3 breakfasts that I never had. The restaurant staff has no system in place to check thoroughly the hotel guest who desire to dine in their restaurant. The lack of insonorisation on the second floor was extremely disturbing with rude guests and heavy noises throught the night. Not a plesant and not a relaxing hotel. The cleaning staff was absolutely wonderful and friendly. The hotel front desk staff lady was very unpleasant with me upon my checking out after I requested a refund of the 3 breakfasts wrongly charged. Yes the hotel might have a great location for parking however the quality of the Best Western in this region does not match Best Western in the U.S.A..

Arrived for two nights with a group on a battlefield tour. All seemed a bit odd. Staff very young and lacking real management. Restaurant very slow although food was good. Hotel is set on a major fast road with no real pedestrian access to the town and a real lack of taxis in the town. Overall an OK stay but really nothing the retirement for.

Chose Best Western Chateau Thierry as first stop after picking up a car after an international flight from CDG airport. We found the room large with a comfortable bed but dated decor. Ate at the restaurant but would not recommend it. The food was just adequate but not great and cost too much to be just adequate. The hotel is not in walking distance to any other restaurants so a drive is necessary if you don’t want to eat at the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. While the whole experience was adequate I would not choose to stay here again.

It's a while since I wrote a review on here, too lazy, but yesterday we stopped here and it was awful. Understaffed, tatty, dirty, very slow service and the pictures are very deceiving. We booked for two nights thinking a four star hotel with Spa would be perfect. We left after one. Good points - nice breakfast, well cooked steak. Bad points - see above and dirty bathroom, pokey bedroom, poor water pressure, poor decoration, Spa looked dirty, Salad starter was soaking in water and had no dressing, steak was accompanied by a few chips ( that's it and it was supposed to be a gourmet meal). Couldn't wait to get away. Sorry that I seem to be the opposite of most other reviews but Best Western should take a serious look at just how bad this place is.
