Nakamachi Fuji Grand Hotel

A Showa era business hotel located along National Route 118. Check-in and payment are attended, and the guest rooms are clean and well-maintained, although they have undeniably deteriorated over time. However, please note that the doors do not lock automatically. The wifi speed is slow both down and up, which is stressful... I'm thankful for the disposable slippers, but is there a mysterious abs scene by the window? . The large public bath on the 5th floor has 8 changing baskets and 5 mini lockers for valuables. The bathroom has 4 washing areas, a shallow bathtub that can accommodate 3 to 4 people, and a small sauna, but no cold bath. Breakfast is plate style at the restaurant on the 1st floor, and you will be asked whether you would like Japanese or Western food at check-in. There was Kozuyu, a local dish from Aizu.

This business hotel is located in the middle of the city of Aizuwakamatsu, making it convenient for sightseeing and dining. It faces Shinmei-dori, the main street that runs north-south through the center of the city, and across the road is Sakaemachi, a busy area with many restaurants including the famous Wappa Meshi restaurant. Tsuruga Castle is a 10-minute walk away, and behind it is a place related to Hideyo Noguchi. It is directly connected to Hideyo Noguchi Seishun Dori, which is lined with shops, so there is no shortage of things to do during the day or night. I also took advantage of the time before dinner to take a walk around Hideyo Noguchi's Seishunkan (formerly Kaiyo Clinic) and Nanukamachi Street, where old merchant houses still remain. The free parking lot can be used as is after checking out, so we were able to tour Tsuruga Castle and Gamo Ujisato's grave on foot. This time I used a twin room, and although the building is a little old, the interior was clean and comfortable. Although it is no more than a business hotel, it is a large hotel in Aizuwakamatsu and can be used with peace of mind.
