2002 Nice to see they attached bathrooms to the gers, but I assume they still drain right to the lake. When I went, someone came in and started the stove in the morning and put on some tea. Then you could go have breakfast in the big house. The people were lovely, especially the women who did 99% of the work. It’s one of those places where you could say honestly, “I can see Russia from my house.” We met the shaman who was a woman. She and her husband helped me get my horse back after the reins got loose from my grip.

There was a theft of about $20,000, and the CCTV here was not working. If you are a thief, act after 10pm. Then no one here will be able to stop it. In our opinion, we think it is the behavior of the manager working here. But they mocked us, saying nothing was captured on CCTV.

It is in a beautiful location on the lake, the gers are very comfortable. The restaurant is good and the shower and toilet facilities are good to. It's a very comfortable place. Seems very professionally run. Good place to relax.

My friend and I, who are both teachers in Ulaanbaatar, took the 14 hour journey by bus and taxi to Khovsgol, where we stayed at Toilogt. The long journey was more than worth it. The location of the camp is simply stunning, at the south of the lake, about 20km from the village of Khatgal. The facilities are excellent. We stayed in a Ger which was cosy and clean. There is also lodge rooms and teepees available. The food at the camp was superb. All of this was provided at a more than reasonable price. Khovsgol itself is absolutely amazing. The quiet and stillness is glorious, and the views are simply unforgettable, especially at sunset. Thank you Toilogt Camp - we will be back!

The food was very good quality compared to other camps I’ve stayed in. Room was very cosy and the staff ensured we were always warm. The location was incredible. Most beautiful place I’ve ever been.
