Excellent central location, very large room with a small balcony, good and comfortable bed, satisfactory breakfast, plenty of parking, excellent rates. There are many shops and small businesses and restaurants in the neighborhood. It is a pretty town, surrounded by green mountains and valleys, with mostly locals with their traditional ponchos and hats. A fine experience for a short visit. The hotel is more like a motel, by no means luxury, by all means fine and comfortable.

Our worse hotel in Ecuador. It had everything we needed (a bed, hot water, wifi, breakfast…) but the hotel is tattered and has not been looked after. It is also not possible that this hotel has 4 stars. The first room we had been given smelt of old and mould. The bedsheets and blankets seemed to have been stored in an attic. In that room the internet was too weak as well. It was the room at the end of the corridor on the ground floor, the biggest room as it is the room for disabled people. No water dispenser. No tea or coffee available. Worst breakfast we have had during our 4 week stay in Ecuador as we simply got a juice, some fruit, a stale pastry and 2 overcooked fried eggs. Staff don’t speak English.

The hotel is right on the main street of Alausi and only a couple of minutes away from the train station, however at this time unfortunately the train isn’t running to the Nariz del Diablo mountain. The hotel is however able to arrange a private transfer to and from the viewpoint and at a fairly reasonable price. The hotel’s rooms are large, nicely cleaned and the beds are comfortable. The staff is helpful but some do not speak English so Spanish skills will definitely help. Rooms also come at a very good price so would happily return here.

Nuestra estadía fue muy corta, solo una noche, pero en este tiempo, el hotel cumplió con nuestras expectativas, recibimos una atención amable, rápida, nuestro vehículo quedó seguro y el desayuno estuvo muy bueno, a pesar que nos faltó un poco más de pan. Sin duda lo recomiendo.
