Grand Muthu Forte do Vale

One issue that needs addressing: sun bed reservations. There’s a sign stating guests can’t reserve sun beds, but it wasn’t enforced at all. We regularly saw beds left “reserved” for hours while no one was using them, which made it frustrating for other guests trying to find a spot by the pool. The main restaurant was decent but light on options for children who don’t eat large portions. A simple plain cheese and tomato pizza (no herbs or garlic) would go a long way for fussy younger eaters. The nightly entertainment could use some work — it felt slow-paced and wasn’t very engaging. Finally, a special thank you to Carlos on reception — he went above and beyond helping me sort out an issue with my laptop during the stay. That kind of service really stood out.

Lovely hotel, lovely facilities, allowed us to check in early however very quiet reception area and made to feel like we were talking loudly by staff. Overall very nice experience and around a 10 minute walk to new town. Pool facilities are also nice !

Beautiful location, not in a rough urban area at all, two beaches not far at all nice to go for a walk and look at the views, loads of trips to do (wine tasting, safari rides, zoo marine dolphin show) which the receptionist will book for you on the phone they’re so helpful. Food is the best holiday all inclusive buffet I ever had, the snack cafe had beautiful sandwiches and coffees and cakes, friendly helpful staff. Bar all inclusive drinks aren’t strong, but a nice low alcohol quencher. Buffet had a different country theme every night so you could have food from all over the world. Cosy room, sofa and washing machine to do your laundry, television, lovely big bath. I would come here again if going to Portugal. My experience was wonderful. Lovely team. If you walk around the corner there’s a couple Portuguese corner shops to get snacks if you want to try them and souvenirs, loads of lovely friendly resteraunts on the street also if you want. Cheap taxi to get to the old town to go to the market which actually has beautiful stuff. Beautiful area beautiful country. I would note we did have a little bit of mould in our bathroom in the corner but it didn’t affect our stay as the service was so good, cleaners would come in and get the room spotless. Wonderful. Also included to travel to their other hotel resteraunts mini bus included to try other delicious food. Inserted a few pics of some of the places we booked through the hotel to go, or were advertised there. Amazing. Indoor turkish bath and sauna and pool and outdoor pool included, the outside pool is great too with sun loungers given to you by staff they will bring them out for you if there mostly taken up.

Plenty of choices for food with access to many other options through the group all free with all inclusive. Room very spacious and towels changed and room cleaned as you would wish. Very friendly staff especially Mustafa and fun entertainment in the evening. Would definitely go again.

Ok hotel but it’s not a 5 star experience. Pros -Very large rooms -Washing machine in room -Buffet restaurant food was good -All Inclusive BBQ at the pool is nice -All inclusive ice cream available at the pool Cons -Rooms are large but need refurbished -The restaurant is too small (often no tables are available) -The evening (Piccadilly) bar is a bit tired and has no outside seating area -Drinks are average (cocktails not 5 star standard) -Mexican restaurant was poor We were meant to have our mini bar in our room replenished daily. Had to ask for it to be done (and it was). Had to ask again the next day (wasn’t done). All in all, an ok hotel but we would not return.

Yoandry entertained our girls for hours this afternoon, they played a darts competition and water polo and had a great time! Thankyou!

Amazing hotel with gorgeous decor all around. Friendly atmosphere from all of the staff especially lucio .m in piccadilly bar as well as the staff member providing entertainment each night. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Great value for money with multiple options of food to choose from each day. Very clean, cleaners came by everyday to change towels and make beds. No noise complaints very sound proof doors. Overall it is a lovely hotel and well worth the money.

Great holiday, gorgeous hotel, lovely food. Friendly staff especially Lucio.m in the bar great for the bit of banter.
