This was a special trip for my hen party, with a group of 24 people, and unfortunately the experience we received fell far below what we reasonably expected from your accommodation. Before travelling, I contacted the hotel regarding our group and specifically asked whether we could be accommodated together. I was reassured by email that this would be accommodated. Despite this, we were separated on arrival and throughout our stay. Check-in and luggage We were told that check-in was from 4pm. However, after arriving, we were left waiting for approximately three hours without access to our rooms. Even more frustratingly, we were not allowed access to our own luggage while waiting. This left 24 people sitting around for hours without access to their belongings. This was an unacceptable start to what was supposed to be a special occasion. Our group being separated Despite having contacted the hotel in advance and receiving reassurance that our group would be accommodated together, we were given rooms in different areas and effectively split up. We were also given different-coloured wristbands, which then prevented members of our own group from using certain pool areas together. This made absolutely no sense when the purpose of our booking was to celebrate together as a group. What made matters worse was that we saw guests wearing the same-coloured wristbands as us in the pool that we had specifically been told to leave. Treatment by staff and security The treatment we received from some members of staff was extremely disappointing. We were told that Dutch guests were allowed to remain in an area but English/British guests were not, and that we had to leave. At the time, we were simply lying in the sun and were not causing any disturbance or excessive noise. We also found the reception staff to be extremely rude, dismissive and unhelpful when we attempted to resolve the issues. The security staff around the pool were particularly unpleasant. Members of security repeatedly approached and followed our group around the hotel, despite us simply going about our holiday and not causing trouble. We felt as though our group was being singled out and targeted throughout our stay. Security should make guests feel safe and comfortable. Instead, we felt intimidated and harassed. Housekeeping, towels and basic hygiene We were also extremely disappointed with the lack of housekeeping. Our rooms were not cleaned, and when we requested fresh towels and toilet roll, we were refused basic supplies. We were then told that we would have to pay for fresh towels. Regardless of any policy regarding pool towels, we are referring here to basic room hygiene and the provision of essential bathroom supplies. Being refused fresh towels and toilet roll during our stay was unacceptable. Overall experience This was supposed to be a memorable and enjoyable hen party. Instead, a significant amount of our stay was spent dealing with reception, security and issue

This is a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities. The pool area is clean, well maintained and has the potential to be a wonderfully relaxing place to spend the day. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly, welcoming and professional, and the hotel itself deserves a great deal of praise. Unfortunately, the behaviour of some of the pool attendants significantly detracted from what was otherwise an excellent experience. I fully appreciate that enforcing safety rules is part of their job, and I have absolutely no issue with staff ensuring guests behave responsibly. However, there is a clear difference between firm, professional enforcement and an unnecessarily confrontational approach. During our stay, I witnessed several occasions where younger groups appeared to be singled out and spoken to in an aggressive manner, even when the situations seemed relatively minor. Rather than calmly managing situations, the approach often appeared to escalate them, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere around the pool. One interaction particularly concerned me. My son-in-law politely asked why the approach was quite so aggressive, and the response he received was: "You are on your last warning, and I have your room number." We found this response unnecessarily intimidating and completely disproportionate to a polite question. It was not the standard of customer service we expected from a hotel of this quality. This is a great hotel, and it's a shame that the conduct of a small number of pool attendants overshadowed what was otherwise a very enjoyable stay. I hope management reviews the customer service approach taken around the pool, as the facilities deserve staff who can enforce the rules firmly, fairly and respectfully, without creating an atmosphere of confrontation. We would happily return because the hotel has so much to offer, but I sincerely hope this issue is addressed.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. I booked our stay nine months in advance for a group of seven after hearing positive recommendations from friends who had stayed here previously. Unfortunately, the problems began immediately after booking. My reservation repeatedly showed only three adults instead of the seven guests I had requested. I contacted the hotel numerous times to query this, and on every occasion I was reassured by staff that everything was correct and there was nothing to worry about. We later made a minor amendment to our booking, changing our travel dates while keeping the total length of our stay the same. After this change, I was unable to obtain an updated confirmation email despite multiple attempts. When I eventually received it, the reservation still incorrectly showed only three adults. Frustrated, I contacted the hotel again two days before our arrival, only to be told for the first time that the apartment could accommodate only six guests, not seven, despite having been repeatedly assured over several months that the booking was correct. To make matters worse, we were informed that accommodating the seventh guest would cost an additional €583. I found it completely unacceptable to be asked to pay such a substantial amount just two days before our holiday because of an error that had been repeatedly brought to the hotel’s attention. We tried to discuss the situation and asked whether they could reduce or waive the additional charge given the circumstances, but no reasonable solution was offered. The only reason I have given this review one star is because the apartment itself was comfortable and reasonably clean. However, even this was overshadowed by the presence of ants and a few cockroaches during our stay. I would also like to mention Cora at Quinta Pedra dos Bicos, whose handling of this situation was disappointing. At no point did I feel that any genuine effort was made to resolve an issue that stemmed from the hotel’s own booking errors. The lack of communication, accountability, and customer service turned what should have been a relaxing holiday into an unnecessarily stressful experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a smooth, stress-free holiday.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. We had read some terrible reviews before arriving, but our experience couldn’t have been more different. The location was excellent—just a 10-minute walk from the *****, meaning we could enjoy all the nightlife while avoiding the noise when it was time to sleep. The beach was also only a short walk away, making it the perfect base for our holiday. The rooms met our expectations, with very comfortable beds, plenty of space, and all the essential facilities working properly. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout our stay, and we weren’t disturbed by noise at night at all. Their was 3 pools located around the accommodation with our apartment block containing a private pool which was lovely , we were presented with 2 balcony’s too one with a slight ocean view. There were only a couple of minor downsides. You have to pay to have your towels washed, as there isn’t a washing machine available for guests. Also, while there isn’t an oven, there is a hob, which was still useful for basic cooking. Some amenities were broken such as the handle to our window ,the lightbulb was burst and one of the AC remotes didn’t work , but these did not directly effect our stay whatsoever As a group of 18-year-olds going on our post exam holiday , we were worried that we might be treated differently or asked to pay a large security deposit. However, from the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at ease with their warm and welcoming attitude. We felt respected throughout our stay and had a fantastic experience. We’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others.

Wow what a magical place, the staff are beyond friendly, especially Cora, on reception who went above and beyond to make our stay absolutely memorable, nothing was too much trouble, the apartments were clean, comfortable and most importantly cool, the pools were lovely and the location was great. We have already booked again for next year! We didn’t venture to other pools so can’t comment on them, however were given wrists bands for if we wanted to.

Very lovely hotel, the apartment was clean and modern. We did have one issue with the hob but it was changed the next day and staff were very friendly. Great location from the *****, around a 4min walk.

We arrived at the hotel in a Friday night as a family of 5 adults and 1 child (6) Check in was slow and we had to ask for safes etc ad these were not offered to us. This is a huge complex and the apartments are in separate buildings away from the hotel itself. We were given 2 rooms in Lote 1 this faces the main road opposite a hotel with bars and restaurants nearby. Underneath the apartments are a Chinese Restaurant, chemist, tour shop and a gift shop also scooter hire. The first room was on floor 1 apartment I This was a huge apartment with a sofa (this didn’t convert) a single bed, dining table and nice furniture. Next to this was a good self contained kitchen including a washer and a dishwasher even though detergent and tablets were not included these can easy be purchased if needed. Next to this was a bed with 2 single beds pushed together, built in wardrobes, safe and plenty of drawers. The bathroom was spacious with a shower over a bath. There was also plenty of hot water and a great shower. In the cabinet was a first aid kit and a hairdryer. In the hall section there was a further wardrobe and drawers. Overall plenty of storage for clothes etc. There was an air con unit in both the living area and the bedroom which was amazing and quiet. My only gripe was there was only 1 mirror and this was located in the bathroom. There was a huge balcony that stretched across the full apartment. The second room was on floor 3 apartment E This was similar to the other but the sofa opened up into 2 single beds and had a larger TV The first couple of nights there was a lot of noise from surrounding apartments which made it difficult to sleep it sounded like they were moving the furniture around constantly. Then there was the music from the Hangover Bar across the road which would play into the late hours. Out daughter and partner with their son asked the hotel if they could move rooms due to the noise. They were given a 3 floored apartment in a different building which slept 8 with 3 bedrooms. The problem with this was as it was amongst large groups and the noise was the same with them coming in at all hours shouting and playing music. There was 2 pools that were available to use 1 being the main pool with a bar etc this was always so busy. The 2nd pool was ideal for young families but there was no toilet facilities, so a trip to reception was required for the loo. This hotel is not good for families with small children as it attracts large parties due to the larger apartments

I chose this as I thought hotel by pics wish I hadve read reviews before booking. I booked with easyjet 4 nights got there very late in the evening around 11pm our flight came in at just after 9 we had trouble finding our transport which was part of package then 15 mins into an hour long journey to hotel the driver was told to turn back to airport to awaken his work colleague who had fell asleep in his minibus and passengers were waiting on him. So this added to our travel time everyone so tired. Got to hotel told we were in apartments block 1 2nd floor the terrace didn't get the sun anytime of day or evening had to walk back to street hotel is in to get to pool so not onside as I thought. We were there 4 days before getting clean towels and had to email easyjet customer service because I asked the hotel 4 tomes to no avail. Couldn't sleep at night because of noise from clubs pubs and bars across from apartments also the light showing through curtains I wear hearing aids and the noise kept me awake all night . The view when you go out on terrace in the morning is of the pool and hotel across the road which looked beautiful. The lock on the door was very hard to open or lock drug dealers also hang about round the apartments in the evening noise also from traffic and motor bikes I could go on and on but not the place for me returned home exthausted . I did inform easyjet said nothing they could do but eventually got clean towels 4th night was going home 6 next morning. Cheers easyjet.

Having just returned from from a 10 day holiday Any one booking this place as a family holiday. I really would think twice about it. We needed two rooms that were close together As it was family with 2 children ages 7 and 10, and grand parents. There are 18 blocks in this complex. We were placed in block 1. Nicknamed the prison block. Over the Chinese restaurant. One of the worse experiences of any holiday we have been on. These apartments. Are full of stag and hen. Groups. Or. Gangs of middle age men. Language. And being sick. Not once. Loads of times. Complained every night due to lack of sleep with children. The youngest was a bit frightened due to, the noise. We eventually got moved after day 6. When we say stag groups. It’s groups of any number. Totally took over the pool even the children’s pool. At the main pool It could be a very nice place. If they put the big groups in certain blocks. Another downer. Dealers driving round the complex
