Hotel More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel More earlier this month. Situated in a quiet area of Alcudia, it’s only a 15 minute walk from the historic and beautiful walled town. The walk is relatively flat, with some designated walkways and pavements, but there’s one short section without either. So I totally understand why other guests opted for taxis, especially when it was dark. There are a lot of steps at the hotel: at the front entrance; to reception; to the restaurant; to the beach side pool etc. But the hotel has built-in accessibility ramps in most areas. And a follow guest, who used a stroller, appeared to get around and use all the facilities fairly easily. Our room – 318 – was quite large and looked north west, so we had plenty of late afternoon sunshine. The room could’ve done with a few more plug sockets, especially at the bedside. But thankfully we’d taken a muti-USB charger with us. Also there was a lack of shelf space in the wardrobe. The shelves that were there, were filled with additional bedding and a security box. Storing clothes in the bedside pods wasn’t ideal, but was our only option. Beds were relatively comfy, although we had to fold the long pillows in half, as there weren’t any additional ones to use. The en-suite was also a good size. A stacker unit was provided for storage, but there was no where in the walk-in shower to put gels etc, except the floor. Hairdryer wasn’t attached to the wall, so was cumbersome to use and felt a bit dangerous on occasions. We found the food in the restaurant met our expectations. Breakfast is from 08.00 till 10.00, which we personally felt was 30 minutes too late for us. However the hotel opened the restaurant earlier, with limited food, on the morning that we went to the caves, and on the day we departed. Good mix of fruit, cereals, hot and cold food, toast and pastries etc. Dinner is from 19.00 to 21.00 and again, with a good range of choices for both vegetarians and meat eaters alike. The lemon ice cream, for dessert, was a real winner! The restaurant also has a good selection of wines and beers. We tended to drink the Mallorca produced red and rose wines, which were pretty decent. The hotel provided a selection of live entertainment throughout the week, which took place in one area of the lounge. On these evenings there tended to be longer queues at the bar, so be prepared for a little wait. We particularly liked the adults only pool and surrounding grounds, just past the patio, in the centre of the hotel. Although there weren’t many children staying at the hotel when we were there, we appreciated this facility greatly. And finally the staff make the hotel. Everyone we met: in reception; in the bar; and especially in the restaurant; were all super-lovely and tolerated my bad Spanish. If we return to that area of Mallorca again, then Hotel More would be a strong contender as our place to stay. ¡Graçias por todo!

This hotel is wonderful , very welcoming, staff are brilliant, always laughing and smiling . So helpful , nothing is a trouble x Place is immaculate ,tip ask for sea view , perfect for a lovely morning x Pool is 10 steps from Hotel , beach is maybe 20 yds from hotel x Been coming for over 12 years and never miss going every year. The owners are so lovely very approachable, like to chat and make you feel so welcome x

Lovely hotel, and location. Rooms were perfect fir our stay. We had a sea view and a large balcony, perfect for relaxing. Cannot praise the staff enough. They were akways smiling and happy to help, and the bar staff were very entertaining. Only downsides were no supermarket or bars near by, nearest 15 mins walk away. Entertainment was every other night and some of it wasn't the best, sometimes cringeworthy. Still had an amazing holiday, and would go back again

Brilliant Hotel and very quiet which is what we wanted but for me there was just to many steps, all staff very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you, room clean and bathroom spotless, the sea view from our room was ok but you had to look over houses to see it, the front of the Hotel is where you want to be for an excellent view, Hotel Moré was just a bit to far away from Old Town for me,

This hotel is beautiful. The views are amazing make sure and ask for a sea view. The beds are very comfy. It was nice and quiet at night. Good entertainment every other night, The pool by the sea is brilliant but deep so take a float so you can Bob in the pool. Food is lovely in the restaurant but also bar food. The bar staff are great 👍 The only downside is no fridge in the room and the bar prices are quite steep even for water otherwise a fab place highly recommend

This hotel is straight into the sea front. It is in a quiet location. But old town alcudia is a 15 minute walk. Very clean, food varied and plentiful. Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Josefina on reception went above and beyond when we had a problem. The only downside for me was no tea facilities or fridge in the room. But this would not stop me from coming back as I have had one of the most relaxing holidays in a long time

Fantastic hotel in beautiful surroundings with lovely staff. Hard to leave, would love to come back. Two lovely pools and easy access to the neighbouring beach which is on a shallow bay. Easy 15 minute walk to beautiful Old Town Alcudia.

stayed here the end of aug - start of sep for 12 nights and it was great. food was good considering it is a 3 star so the quality was what you paid for. we found all staff members were extremely helpful and kind especially jose who was in the bar, he was lovely to deal with every time we came for a drink, always smiling and up for a chat and a laugh. the reception staff were also very helpful with organising taxis and helping to organise trips etc. but for us the staff in the restaurant were not the most pleasent to deal with, some nights staff members would not come to us so we could order our drinks which was a bit annoying at times. other than this we could not fault this hotel, the bedrooms were lovely and cleaned everyday. we would recommend to book a high rise sea view room , this was lovely and had a great view and was also nice and quiet, request a room away from lift also and they can be noisy. after the first few days we discovered that the taxi from the hotel to the port of alcudia was a bit expensive so if you are planning to budget your trip we would recomened to walk to the old town of alcudia ( about 10 mins walk ) and get the bus 324 opposite the tourist office, tap your phone before you get on and before you get off. the hotel is in a great location with lots to do around. it is quiet but you can get to shops within 10 mins in the old town. the beach next to the hotel is lovely in the evening for an evening swim, but we would highly recomend taking the trip into the port to the main alcudia beach as it is beautiful, wide and lovely and sandy.

Had a very relaxing week. Our room overlooked the beach such a beautiful view. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good with plenty of choice. Quiet location with short walk to town. We hired bikes from the hotel one day which was great fun. Only issue was the mosquitoes!
