Thon Hotel Ålesund

Transportation: You'll see the FB65 bus service right outside the airport, which takes you to the hotel. It's 495 NOK for two adults and one child. It takes about ten minutes to walk from the station, which can be slow with luggage. The return trip is 640 NOK via Uber, which is excellent value. Amenities: The room amenities are OK, but there are no disposable items like toothbrushes. Bath towels are provided, but please bring your own toiletries if you require them; they come with shampoo and shower gel. The restaurant has a nice view, but don't go too early to avoid encountering tour groups. I went at 7 AM and didn't get a view. The breakfast is a typical Western-style meal, but it's quite delicious and I think it's suitable for Chinese people. It's a short walk to the Aksla Viewpoint and other attractions. The breakfast was very good, the suite had a nice view, the harbor and the lighthouse were just outside the window. You could also see people diving after the sauna, which was very interesting.

The hotel is clean and sanitary, but foreign hotels do not have any disposable items, you need to bring your own. There is no mineral water or kettle in the room, but there is a small refrigerator.

The hotel is in a great location, right by the sea. There are cheap public parking spaces at the door, but the number is limited. The hotel's own parking lot is indoors, probably converted from an air-raid shelter. There is a very narrow door inside, and drivers with poor driving skills may not be able to park in it. I saw traces of vehicles scratching the wall of the doorway.
