Exactly our style and what we were looking for. We really enjoyed our stay here as a tired family of five during our first trip to Portugal. We were greeted warmly and shown to our room. Any questions we had were answered and we were able to confirm/communicate our arrival time & checkout via WhatsApp which was really helpful. We had a stroke of luck and had the place to ourselves for most of our stay, so it was comfortable and felt like home. The place was very clean and provided all the amenities we needed (clean linens, cozy towels and good smelling soap!) The kitchen was well prepared so we could cook meals and enjoy the view of the Atlantic which was a huge highlight! Across the road is a sightseeing spot so we walked over and enjoyed the view. Just a 10 minute drive from the hotel, we spent the afternoon in Praia da Foz do Arelho which was amazing! The hotel provided a very nice breakfast in the separate building next to the hotel, and we could tell that they put a lot of effort into making it nice for the guests. We did not use the outdoor pool during our stay, but it was open for use. Thanks for the lovely stay and a big thank you to the hotel staff for your patience.

The little garden is enchanting, the view is sublime, the swimming pool a delight. Loved the creative name of our room - “Caravel”, inspiring us to start a journey, and to dream together! A very welcoming and super clean space. Breakfast could have more no-sugar possibilities, such as the croissants and perhaps some sugar free pancakes. The bread could also be healthier (whole flour and pumpkin seeds, for example) and still local. Besides this, being a very personal choice, I highlight Maria Inês’ sweetness and Lourenço’s practical side, both available and communicative, which was part of the whole wonderful experience! Thank you SO much!

Everything was perfect. Sonia the host greeted us and was there to help with whatever we needed. It was lovely to stay in a place that felt so warm and friendly which is so different from your typical hotel. It was so great that our room was on the ground level and we could access the pool directly from our room. We were traveling with our 2 year old and his bed was all made up and they even provided a hooded children’s towel which was a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious fresh bread from the village with an assortment of meats and cheeses, fruit, yogurt, cereal, jams and spreads which was perfect. We spent every night in São Martino do Porto which was just a 10 minute drive and it was a gorgeous beachfront with a great variety of restaurants and bars. We were lucky to be visiting during Portugal day so lots of festivities going on. Will 100% return to silverside!

Great place to rest. Clean, comfortable, spacious. It's a shame about the storm the night we stayed there. Very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was reasonable, not with much diversity, but sufficient. Good place to stay with family.
