Hurtwood Hotel

Great stay at Hurtwood hotel. The room was very comfy, the hosts were accommodating and the food both in the evening and the morning was great. Would highly recommend.

We stayed here before in 2020 and once again we were happy with the hotel , the staff and the room and breakfast was great. Our visit was spoilt by the awful meal we were served in the restaurant; it was very poor quality sadly although the staff were lovely.

The place has a lot of charm, and we appreciated the friendly atmosphere and great food. However, the cleanliness of our room was questionable, understandable to an extent, as it’s not part of a large hotel chain. That said, what truly shocked me was discovering a spot of human blood on my towel after taking a shower. It was honestly one of the most disturbing experiences I’ve had while traveling. I brought it to the staff's attention, and while the towel was taken away, there was no apology and no offer of a clean replacement. What’s most disappointing is not just what happened, but how it was handled. Sadly, for that reason, I won’t be returning.

Me and my husband stayed in this hotel unfortunately for only 2 days. The hotel was hidden away with a bike hire shop opposite for anyone that wants to go on the many bike trails they have. From the moment we set foot in this lovely place we were welcomed straight away by a lovely gentleman and then the lady my husband spoke to the day before to book the room, I'm really sorry but didn't get her name , she remembered us straight away and was very kind enough to get in the milk I needed for breakfast. She was a breath of fresh air very friendly, helpful and an all round lovely person. She showed us to our room and we were not disappointed the room was beautiful cosy , warm with a lovely big bed and TV with coffee machine and kettle with everything you could need . The bathroom was lovely and the shower was good. Had a great nights sleep lovely comfy bed and the breakfast in the morning was exceptional with plenty of choice and the young man that served us in the morning was also very helpful and friendly. All the staff that work at this hotel are a credit to the place and we will definitely be going back when I'm the area. Thank you so much so making our stay enjoyable.

We booked this hotel for 3 nights for New Year. It was described as a newly refurbished boutique hotel with a deluxe room. The bathroom window was covered in black mould as was the tile grouting and the spa bath jets were so disgusting we didn't use it. The carpets throughout the hotel were grubby to say the least. The customer service has been non existent and we left after 2 nights. Would NOT recommend.
