room was quiet, clean and functional. we were forced to cut our stay short by one day due to wife's disappointment with prairie ******.

Room was clean well stocked as in, soap, shampoo conditioner coffee cups. I only mention it because the last 2 or 3 places fell well short of most of these items. It was negative 20s during my stay had zero problems staying warm room heater works great, typical dish cable, not a fan BTW, But all channels worked fine. Will definitely be back when of If I ever need.

The hotel was nice...great price for what we got. It's also just up the road from a nice bike path, which was a nice treat in the morning before we finished the second half of our drive.

We were extremely satisfied with our room. There was plenty of (unexpected) counter space with plug ins! Very spacious. We had a small Xmas gathering before heading out to Prairie Meadows. The room was large and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.

The room was somewhat dirty. There was poop on the lid of the toilet near where you flush the toilet. The floor was dirty and hadn't been swept her mopped. There was even a few specks of dried mud behind the bathroom door which I had cleaned up with some toilet paper. I did report that to the front desk and they asked me if I wanted to move, but I had already went out and bought some disinfectant wipes and some Lysol to clean and disinfect around the room a little bit. It was obvious it looked like the bed had been changed or I definitely wouldn't have stayed in there. I had already put all my stuff in there and all I asked was, since I was going to a baby shower and I was going to be gone for over 4 hours which I was, I had asked if someone could bring me some fresh towels and sweep and mop the floor while I was gone. Upon my return, it didn't get done at all, no fresh towels and the floor was the same. There was even a housekeeper cleaning rooms while I was returning to my room, and I just wanted to lay down and take a nap. I had paid for two nights, and my key wouldn't work so I had to run back to the desk and have them fix the situation and I told them that it didn't get done and they said they would do it right now. The point is, I am a customer and I put in a a request about something that should have already been done while I was gone, and even before I got the room and it didn't get done at all. I'm very disappointed.

The walls here are paper-thin: A few families across the hall from me had crying babies, drunk men, etc. making noise all night. I had to turn the bathroom fan on, and the AC fan on full blast to try to drown it out. And though the breakfast was free so I shouldn't have expected much, the waffles,syrup, and instant coffee were the worst I've had, and all tasted very chemically. My room had been updated but wasn't in the best shape: there were stains on the bathroom wall next to the toilet paper, the sink was rusty around the metal parts, and it just felt kind of gross. Classic case of "You get what you pay for."

I am in Des Moines‘s once a month and for the last eight months I have stayed at this motel. The service is outstanding. The rooms are clean. The rate is unbelievably reasonable!!! there are many things to do within walking distance. The staff are friendly, and they go above and beyond. my trips to Des Moines, 3 Hour Drive, are usually so stressful, but the staff at this motel are so accommodating and helpful. I feels like a mini vacation away from my job.
