This is our 3rd stay at this hotel and we enjoyed it, we paid for a superior room and Jorge on reception was very attentive giving us a lovely room overlooking the pool and with a sea view. The room was spotlessly clean and spacious and the maids work so hard to maintain these standards. However, since our last visit 3 years ago all the sun loungers by the pool have been replaced which is great but they are THE most uncomfortable sun loungers I have ever laid on, so much so we ended up going to the beach on 3 days as my back couldn't tolerate the pool beds! The pool area is very crowded but we enjoyed sunbathing in the gardens as much more space! Also what happened to the background music by the pool-it was just so quiet! My other point to note is that in such a lovely 4* star hotel why is there no courtesy room for customers on a later flight? I asked to keep our room on (and was willing to pay) but was told to ring up day of departure and then told no as someone was arriving early so our room was needed! Luckily our friend was staying across the road so she let us use her shower but had this not been available we would have been hanging around for 5 hrs which is far from ideal. So to summarise we enjoyed our trip apart from sun loungers and lack of courtesy room!

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodated our 4 year old very well. They provided suggestions for things to do around.
The comfort in the rooms was a bit lower than we expected. Especially the lighting conditions, which can be improved.

ABOVE AND BEYOND SERVICE
We were here for one night. Very clean, neatly organized kitchen, great TV, comfortable bed. The service was outstanding. Our rental car had a dead battery and the manager was so very gracious and helped us. He used his personal car, got out his jumper cables and got our car running! ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY. BRAVO PESTANA ALVOR PARK.

2nd visit here got the same apartment- stayed with my husband and teenage son in a superior one bedroom. Lots of room for everyone and 2 bathrooms. Our favourite resort is Alvor and the apartments are so central. Staff lovely as always 😎

Nice and big apartment! Everything was very clean. The lobby was nicely decorated. Breakfast could have been better and the inside jacuzzi would have been warmer. But overall a very nice stay and perfect for families!
