Red Roof Inn Amarillo West

Hotel reception man was the most unfriendly miserable man we had come across over the past two weeks of travelling/over night stops in hotels.  The room was spacious but dingy, smelly, and had a disheveled look to it. The bed was comfy to be fair but the close proximity to the highway was a little nosey than other highway motels we have stayed in.  We got to breakfast at 8.30am (6-0am) and there was nothing left, except 2 pieces of dry bread and 2 small muffins. No yoghurts/fruit/ cereals/hot food/ or waffle mixture. Another guest requested the breakfast area be replenished as it wasn’t 9am and the receptionist refused.  Not a good stay

Quite a bit more than I was expecting for the price, I loved the stay. The staff were easy to work with and the location was exceptional. I will be back.

I loved the large room! Bathroom is a little small, but for our needs (traveling with a cat) having a large room for him to explore after a long day riding in a car was golden!

Excellent value. Spacious, comfortable, clean room. Pleased with eco-friendly dispensers for soap, etc. Very well lit outside so feels very safe.

We tried 2 rooms labeled non-smoking. The first had a heavy airfreshner smell mixed with tobaco that irritated my eyes and lungs. The second room had such a heavy smoke smell I couldn't even take 2 steps into the room. We left to rent another hotel. I was charged at check in and am unable to get a refund. Just go somewhere else.

I asked for non-smoking room, they gave me the worse room smelling like cigarettes felt like had it all day on my clothes, room was not the cleanest.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! I have no idea how this place has as high of a rating as they do. This place is very ran down. They do not keep the air on in these rooms when not occupied. They are HOT and musty from being shut up with no circulation. The bathrooms are cleaned to gas station standards. The beds are as hard as concrete. This is seriously the WORST place I have booked in years and I travel a lot!
