I stayed at Regenta for just one night to attend a function, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a terrible experience. At check-in, the room we were given had a strong smell of fresh paint, and basic amenities like lamps were missing. We immediately contacted the front desk and requested a room change. Despite following up twice, no one responded until I personally went to the reception—only then did a staff member accompany us to shift the room. This entire process took about 15 minutes. The second room wasn’t much better. The dustbin was dirty and lacked a garbage bag, the stone countertop was broken, and the WC was not properly cleaned, with visible stains. The mirror in the washroom had broken edges, and the shower cubicle door was missing altogether—clearly removed due to damage. The entire room was dusty and felt unclean. Since we were in a hurry, we requested urgent cleaning so we could get ready. While preparing, I noticed there was no soap or handwash in the washroom—only shampoo dispensers. Once again, I had to call the front desk, and it took another 5 minutes to get a basic item like handwash delivered. The whole experience made me feel like I was staying in a stranger’s house, where I had to adjust to everything as though I were being done a favor—not like a paying guest in a hotel. When we returned later that evening, we discovered the TV remote was missing. We called the reception again, but no resolution was provided even after waiting for 20 minutes. Frustrated, I contacted customer care to file a complaint and request a refund and cancellation. Only while I was on that call did someone finally come to address the issue—but by then, I was so disappointed that I just went to sleep. Overall, it was a nightmare stay. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
