The hotel is not in the city center, but it is very close to the client company. It is very convenient if you have business dealings. If you want to go out of the city center, you must call a car. We thought the ambience and vibes of this hotel to be stylish and chic with friendly, down to earth staff who were more than accommodating! Special thanks to Arsi, Camilla, Teddy, Parisa and Leto for their wonderful service. There were a few matters that could be improved such as: introducing vegan options, housekeeping to continuously be efficient – there was some occasions where they forgot to replace items in the room such as toilet paper, coffee cups or even forgot to take used glassware; more staff behind the bar, as it did become busy and customers were waiting more that 10mins – should the reception not be busy, then those staff members could help out behind the bar? Some staff members should pay more attention to the small details, which we discussed with the Manager, Pasquale, who listened and took on all our suggestions on board. That said, we would not hesitate to visit again.

The bed was so cosy, room a good size, and lots of nice toiletries. Quiet area and good coffee and teas in the room. Room service was available but we didn't use this. Even hangers for clothes and a lot of drawers. Close to McDonald's if the need .

My friend and I came Amsterdam to celebrate her birthday and we chose to stay at the Moxy hotel! The aesthetic and the look really captivated us! When we arrived we were our expectations were met to a tea!! The customer service was warm and inviting! The staff were so friendly and welcoming and helped us with everything! Our hotel was really cute and provided us with enough of everything! The room was cleaned and towels were replaced as soon as we went out and came back! We decided to have pizza and cocktails which was served until 4am which was so convenient for us! Staff were still present at the bar and happy to accommodate us! This hotel was perfect for us! Especially as it was only a 13 minute walk to the bus station that took us straight to Amsterdam centraal! This stay was definitely worth it and I will be here again! Thank you to the lovely staff and moxy hotel !

The hotel employees are not friendly at all and I do not recommend to stay at this Moxy Hotel. It‘s expensive for the customer service you recieve and the hotel does not deserve the name moxy in his name. For my next visit I will book another hotel.

Please do not stay in this hotel, had a very bad experience and you might end up spoiling your vacation or business stay. No proper internet, no proper response, breakfast option is limited. Even if you ask multiple times, they will not answer properly and will simply say - talk to our manager. Rooms are not so good and even breakfast spread is very limited. tagging with Marriot brand - i am not sure if Marriot knows this.

Overall an excellent stay at Moxy Houthaven for business purposes. I would personally never stay at a Moxy hotel for personal/leisure travel, but this hotel fulfilled my needs for a work trip. Great wifi connection, clean rooms and bathrooms, good spacious communal spaces for team meetings with bright lighting. For a cookie-cutter hotel, it had a good vibe and feels younger/cooler than other business hotel chains. Very conveniently located opposite my client's office but the area is very dead, especially at night. Not many food options in the area - not even grabbing a quick sandwich or groceries! The breakfast buffet was included but not great - coffee is from a standard machine and the pastries tasted of dishwasher. One thing to note is that the "desk" in the hotel room is very small (more like a ledge or shelf) and there is no chair (just a footstool) - this wasn't a problem for me personally but if you want a comfortable private space to work all night on your laptop it might be one!
