Had a great time at the hotel. Our room was on the 5th floor and a it had a balcony attached, we enjoyed lattes sitting there in the early morning. The cafe next door is perfect for some quick coffee. The washroom was great as well (very big for european standards). Front desk was very kind and helpful in answering questions. If you have a hard time with the stairs in Amsterdam, you'll be thankful the hotel has a small lift 😅. Be mindful room space is tight, but worth it if you prefer having a larger washroom.

The reception is super strange - after a 14 hour flight they strictly waited for check-in at 15:00 and not a minute earlier, they came at 14:53 and waited exactly 7 minutes looking at the hotel employee while he just stood and looked at the wall. Well, this is a peculiarity of Holland, for 200 euros a night in 3 stars could have tried. The room itself was not super clean, especially the dirty curtains and decorations. Along with that super comfortable bed and super location

My third stay at this hotel. My third positive experience. This is an excellent quant hotel in a great neighbourhood. Five minutes to everything. Excellent linens.

Location was convenient for an early morning departure from Amsterdam Centraal. The rooms were all different, with different "fashion" designs. Our room was a bit more of a minimalist, all white look with some metal accents and switches, etc covered with white enclosures. If you are vision impaired, as I am, request to *not* get this room. The boxes are sharp on the edges and I was often unable to see them. This made it hard for me to find light switches and hooks, which was a minor inconvenience. I also walked right into one of the enclosures (covering a rail with hangers for clothing) and hit my head fairly hard. I realize that I am a bit of an outlier and this review is not necessarily applicable to everyone, but it could be of importance to a few select potential guests at this hotel.

I could not fall asleep despite earplugs because of the noise the rain was doing on dripping on the windows. The construction is not well designed and that makes a strong noise (like knocking on the window). The receptionist had no solution for this. So my night was not good. When I asked for an iron , I had to wait for a long time . And the hair dryer was difficult to find in the room. Service is below average: no motivation to help. Overall I do not recommend except if you have no other options like me.

In late October-early November I was given a room which had no heat. It was bone-chilling cold. I caught one of the most furious colds of my life and had to seek medical attention. I relayed the situation twice to the hotel personnel, and their only action was to give me an additional comforter for the bed, nothing else. I can only assume that the hotel management either had no solution or else didn't care. I will never stay there again.
