My check in experience was terrible. I was given most likely the smallest and nosiest room in the hotel, and the manager was reluctant to give me another room. She came across as uncaring and standoffish. The clerk at the front desk was great.
So…nice hotel, questionable management, nice people working at the front desk. Overall expensive and not worth to have the type of experience I had. I do not recommend it and will nit stay here in the future.

Excellent location. The room was smallish but pleasant, the bar is charming, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The elevator kept breaking down, but that is minor. A great place to stay In Amsterdam.

We had a great stay at Hotel Mercier. It is in a great location for walking around the city or taking trams, and is also close to shops and restaurants. We loved our room with the comfortable bed and breakfast was also good. The one thing is that housekeeping wasn’t very consistent and our room didn’t get cleaned every day, even when we were gone all day.

Beautiful facility, clean and well maintained. Helpful, friendly staff. Room was small (by American standards, but perfectly in line with most European hotels). Close to transport in beautiful area.

Most of things were ok except one thing, which is not acceptable by any standard, Thursday, 22nd, came back to hotel around 4pm, came in the room ( we were staying three nights), nothing was done for house cleaning, except the tips left on table was taken. It meant the house maid came in, took the $ and left without doing any cleaning job. Need to inform the staff and then supervisor was called to see the situation before she call the maid to do the job. The maid came without showing any embarrassment and ask me to stay in the room while she was doing the cleaning job and I rejected.

Had an amazing stay here! Came here with my partner for a leisure trip, expected the room to be tiny by Amsterdam standards but it was a huge room with a living room attached to it. Not sure if all the deluxe rooms are like that but the room was massive, clean, and comfortable. The location was perfect, central to everything we wanted to do. Staff was super nice and helped with everything we needed. They don’t come in to change towels or tidy the room as often as one might expect but that didn’t bother us too much. I believe of the 5 nights we were there they only came in 2 times maybe 3 but I’m sure if you ask they’d be happy to accommodate. But overall great hotel and location, friendly staff and a clean quiet room. Also loved the aesthetic of the whole place!

The best location, friendly and helpful staff, very clean and spacious rooms with comfy beds! Loved our 3 night stay here, would absolutely stay again!
