Clean hotel on a quiet street very close to museums and city center. Beautiful park across the street. Rooms are very tiny, not as represented in pictures. The first room had no door on the bathroom! I was sharing a room with my adult son so this was awkward. If you were sitting in the room you could see the person sitting on the toilet. There was no other room available and it was late so made it work. The next day the staff was kind enough to let us change rooms, this one was even smaller but had a door on the toilet. There was no door on the alcove with the shower. We didn't have any other options, no hotels in the area had any availability so we stayed there for the next 3 nights. There was a TV but you had to "cast" from your own device. We figured this out but the resulting picture was unwatchable. I know we weren't there to watch TV, but I like to unwind with a little TV at the end of the day. The location made this place acceptable

Close to trams and museums. Nice folks. Rooms are large enough. The common areas are large and comfortable. It was nice to get free lattes from the barista. The rooms had some wear/tear; door frame dings, wall marks, etc. Could use some paint.

Lovely hotel. Great for short city breaks - rooms small but this is expected for city break hotels. Large bay windows looking out onto Vondelpark. Lovely large bed which was really comfy. TV didn’t work which was a shame but luckily we weren’t in the room that much. 25-30min walk into main centre but restaurants and bars closer for an evening. Rooms had coffee/tea maker, only minor problem was no milk - was noted in the room as creamer powder and personally not keen on this.

Sonder Park House is in a great location, but depending on the room you stay in your experience will vary widely. I had booked a deluxe king room, and it was located in the front basement of the building, with windows looking at peoples' feet on the sidewalk. A few small complaints that wouldn't matter on their own, but overall made for a miserable time: - room was large, but the bathroom was super tiny and squished with no place to put toiletries and the typical open Euro shower so the whole floor gets wet. - it was rainy when I was there and the room smelled SO MUSTY, I could hardly sleep the smell had seeped into the pillows and sheets. Every time I returned I was greeted with overwhelming dank basement smell. - the mirrors in the room were too tall for me to use (at 5'5 I could only see my forehead! what is the point!) - the wifi was incredibly slow in this room, 3mpbs download speed, basically unusable They were able to rebook me in a different room for my last night (they were fully booked for my first two), and it was an absolute night and day change in experience. The new room was still in the basement but faced the back garden, no musty smell, the bathroom was normal hotel-sized with a tub to keep water in, the wifi came in at 25 mbps download speed, and overall it was incredible. If I had been in this room the whole time, my stay would have been five stars, but Room 102 should just not be offered as a deluxe option, it should be bottom-of-the-barrel discount prices and only offered to guests if absolutely necessary.

We stayed for 3 nights, and it was enough. The hotel is great located, walking distance for many interesting spots. Rooms are simple, but nice. It didn’t have refrigerator and the A/C didn’t work. They should improve the shower system, since it waste too much water and everything gets wet. What was really disappointing is that house keeping was not included in the room rate, and you had to pay 30€ extra per day if you want someone to make your bed, take out the garbage, or change your towels. The staff wasn’t really helpful. We asked for recommendations of places to have dinner or visit, and they couldn’t help us. They only said “I don’t know”.

The location is good. But: These are not rooms, these are closets! (Make sure to switch ft2 to m2 when checking the rooms.) I did know that cleaning of the room would cost extra - as does EVERYthing else - but I didn't know that the public spaces, lobby etc. would be dirty, as well. The lift was broken during my 5-day stay, and they had no intention to fix it either.

Really friendly staff made us feel so welcome, clean room and bathroom and comfy bed! close enough to walk or get a tram to the centre but far enough to not hear everything from your window! Also a spar local shop 5 minuet walk away. Will definitely use this hotel again!

Great location, great customer service and great room! Really close to the tram and all of the museums. Bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. Will definitely recommend this spot.

I booked the Sonder Park hotel based on proximity to the convention center for 6 nights. As described the check-in process is odd. As i booked through a corporate system I did not receive the check-in email until after I had arrived and thus told to sit when I arrived "because it would take a while". I was also told during check-in there is no housecleaning. If I wanted to have my room cleaned I would need to pay an extra $30 euro and schedule a day in advance. I found this pretty shocking for a 6 night stay in which I was paying $300 + a night. I then went to my room which was on a 3.5 floor and required me to carry my cases up rather two steep flights of safe. I booked the larger double room which I was glad for because i would be working out of the room during the week quite a bit. In addition to no housekeeping there is no phone in the room. There is an app I guess you can log into but I could never get to work. So any time you need anything you have to go to the reception. There are no wash cloths at this hotel so you need to either use a very large hand towel or bring your own sponge. The staff at this hotel is very varied. Half are helpful and half make you feel like you are bothering them. Upon arrival I had 30 minutes to get on the tram to meet a co-worker for dinner. I asked for directions to the tram to go to Dame Square which i was told to take a "left and left" which i did and soon realized I was on the wrong train. When i got back that night i asked if i could buy a bottle water or anything and the answer was no. I was then given another set of horrible directions that led no where. Upon return and again asking about buying water anywhere I was told that "i was not very nice" and that the Dutch drink there water out of the tap. There are also no refrigerators in the room so you have to go out for every thing. They have a nice garden but never saw anyone out there. I also never got a coffee, no one is really ever there to ask. So bottom line the location is good, the rooms are functional, but not a nice hotel from a service perspective. I would not recommend for more than a night or two.
