Warning: “Al Mulino” Might Ruin Your Capri Vacation! Beware of Lies and Overcharging! Listen closely: give “Al Mulino” a miss if you don’t want to ruin the whole experience! Pluses: Lush green surroundings; sometimes they’ll offer you a lift to Anacapri center. Minuses: Location. It’s in the boonies! Not a cafe or store in sight. Brace yourself for a 15-20 min trek back to the hotel. And the surroundings? Feels more like a run-down village than the luxe island of Capri. Breakfast. Walked out with my stomach growling. Limp, cold scrambled eggs. Zero veggies, and forget pancakes. A plate of bacon, a plate with bland ricotta, and croissants-that’s all food! And where’s the regular cheese? Not even the basics to make a sandwich! They did have, oddly, dessert cakes. Nice touch, but where’s the actual breakfast? Rooms? BEWARE! See those photos on their site? Don’t trust your eyes! Their “basic” rooms are a joke. They speak of a “patio” (sneakily no photos) – but its a cramped, dim spot with just a table and two chairs. That’s their “patio.” I was paying almost double for a “Junior Suite with Terrace and Solarium.” Reality check: my room? Given to someone else! I was handed a version with just a terrace – no sun-loungers, no promised solarium. “This IS what you booked” (seriously?) That day standard rooms went TWICE less than they charged me - and denied refund. When in Capri, steer clear of “Al Mulino”. You deserve better!

Experienced traveler speaking. I’ve journeyed through many countries, but Capri was a new adventure. Listen closely: give “Al Mulino” a miss. Choose literally anywhere else if you don’t want to ruin the whole experience! Pluses: • Lush green surroundings; sometimes they’ll offer you a lift to Anacapri center. Minuses: • Location. It’s in the boonies! Not a cafe, restaurant, or store in sight. Brace yourself for a 15-20 min trek back to the hotel. And the surroundings? Feels more like a run-down, impoverished village than the luxe island of Capri. • Breakfast. A sad affair. Walked out with my stomach growling. Their spread? I could count the items and think, “Is that it?” Limp, cold scrambled eggs. Zero veggies, and forget pancakes. A plate of bacon, a plate with bland ricotta, and croissants - that’s all the food! And where’s the regular cheese? Not even the basics to make a sandwich! They did have, oddly, a selection of… dessert cakes. Nice touch, but where’s the actual breakfast? •Rooms. See those descriptions and photos on their site? Don’t trust your eyes; they’ll deceive you in reality. — Their “basic” rooms are a joke. They speak of a “patio” in the description (sneakily no photos) – but what you get? A cramped, dim spot with just a table and two chairs. That’s their “patio.” — The saga of the “Junior Suites”? Oh boy, hold onto your hats. I drooled over this gorgeous photo showing sun loungers on a lawn. So, I splurged, paying almost double for a “Junior Suite or Family Room with Terrace Garden View and Solarium,” dreaming of that sunbathing “Solarium.” Reality check: my room? Given to someone else. I was handed a *****ped-down version with just a terrace – no sun-loungers, let alone the promised “solarium”. Then came the barrage of evasive responses: “We thought you were a party of four” (seriously?), “This IS what you booked” (are you kidding?), and the classic “You booked through ******* but showed a Booking screenshot” (come on! Check yourself before accusing a guest). Blatant lies. Think that was all? The deception didn’t end there. Was told “it’s the last room” (okay, things happen), but lo and behold, they paraded another room afterward (surprise, surprise, I thought it was the last one?) - nowhere near the room quality shown in the images and definitely not a Junior suite. Then, the owner, Simona, took it a step further, claiming that I “got a room with a sea view, which is an upgrade, not a downgrade” and that this room costs even more. Reality check: You can’t see the sea from anywhere, it’s obscured by trees, and the hotel itself is quite distant from the beach. Rang up *******, and guess what? No such “sea view” category exists for this property. That day, standard rooms went for $153. I shelled out €245! They had the audacity to offer a measly 60€ off. Do the math. They played me. In conclusion – take it from me. The endless disputes, the web of deceit, almost cast a shadow over my entire vacation. When in Capri, steer clea

Very nice property. Nice location in Anacapri. We walked into town as well as to the blue grotto.

We absolutely loved our stay at this lovely little family run hotel. If you like peace and quiet, in ‘real’ Capri away from the business of the rest of the Island, then Hotel Mulino is the place to stay. It’s immaculately clean, the garden and small pool are perfect and the welcome from the whole family and team is just wonderful. We will stay there again if we go back. Just for info, the hotel is a good 15 min walk from the centre of Ana Capri, if you don’t fancy that, the bus is so easy.

- Hotel is far from the beach - Very very small pool (enough for one family only). - The center of Anacapri is 15-20mns away by walking (the road is a slope so it's very hard to go by foot. taxi for a family of 6 is 25euros, so going to anacapri will cost 50euros per day!! going to capri will cost 80!!). If you're lucky enough, the people working in the hotel can drive you there but it's not always the case. - Asked for olive oil for breakfast, they didn't wanted to give me the bottle of olive oil (told me the bottle is 16 euros, we paid 4500euros for 5 days so to me hotel could at least afford us some olive oil!) - The rooms are clean. - The guy at the reception and the women who were cleaning the rooms are super nice. - the pizza's oven in the farm doesn't work - WiFi works well - TV has YouTube and Netflix Disappointed. conclusion: anacapri is cute but 2 days there are enough. for the same amount of money, we could have been to a better hotel in the center of anacapri (there's a lot there). I unfortunately don't recommend.

A lovely family run hotel with beautiful grounds. The staff are lovely and really helpful. They gave us some fab tips on places to go/eat etc. The hotel is right by a bus stop or it’s around 10 - 15 mins walk into Anacapri. We loved it here. Thank you 😊

This place has access to the best hikes in Capri/Anacapri. You can walk to most beautiful gardens and historic sites. You can hike a mountain and take the gondola down. You can eat in a curated selection of local 4star restaurants with mind blowing view. The best of this beautiful island without dealing with crowds, seriously. And BTW if you are a gardener stay here, their gardens are inspiring.

Such a lovely stay! The hosts were so welcoming and kind. Gave us a map with great recommendations, even personally drove us to dinner and gave great recommendations for dessert. The breakfast was also amazing, with the coffee and pastries being the highlight of our stay (if you like mint, I truly recommend the mint pastry with chocolate, what a great way to start my morning!). The location is also a quick walk to the square, but also about a 20 minute walk to the blue grotto, which was great as we really wanted to get in first thing in the morning to avoid any closures or crowds. Overall a very charming, homey stay and I would recommend!

Oh my goodness, where can I even start? Hotel Al Mulino is the sweetest family run establishment in Anacapri that offers everything you need for a local-centric stay. Getting to Anacapri had us feeling like we got out of the more tourist-centric Capri portion of the island. Going in March also helped, as we were there the first week Al Mulino was open for the season. A member of the team picked us up after we took the bus to Anacapri, and with their map on site showed us every great restaurant that has opened up for the season, and every fabulous view that the island had to offer for sunsets. The hotel itself - oh my goodness. We had a whole wrap around deck with fabulous sun in the orchard. The included breakfast was astounding with a coffee made to order, and the staff made themselves available 24/7. We felt so special and cared for. Not to mention - the hotel has sweet dogs and cats on site. So if that does something for you, because it DEFINITELY did for us.
