Location: The hotel is conveniently located near a tram and supermarket, approximately half an hour from Munich city center. It's also well-positioned for cycling along the Isar Valley Cycle Path to Munich, with an S-Bahn stop just 5 minutes away.

Stayed here with my son for Oktoberfest. Very clean and a nice location. Staff was mostly very friendly. Breakfast didn't lack anything. We ate in the restaurant one night and it was quite nice. Would return if ever in the area.

There still are excellent family-run hotels. Klostermaier is one of them and should be an example to all of what such hotels and restaurants can be. We have used the Klostermaier for family and friends at Christmas for years -- but never stayed there ourselves. We did so last week and realised why all of our guests raved. First of all, the service is superb. Everybody working at the hotel is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Even the public bathrooms in the basement, which seem to be cleaned many times a day. Full marks for proper hand towels in the public bathroom and cloth napkins in the restaurant. Mattresses - that most crucial point - are new and of fine quality. Food in the restaurant is very good and the breakfasts are superb. Eat on the terrace with an Alpine view. They even provide blankets on evenings when it gets chilly. Be sure to book a room on the back side of the hotel with a view of the Alps. It costs more but it's worth it. All rooms have a private balcony with chairs and a table. But be sure to ask for a room with a full view because a few of the rooms have the view partially blocked by nearby buildings. The street side is a poor choice because it is quite heavily used. Munich is short trip from the hotel either by commuter train, the S7, which stops in the village, or via the nearby highway.

Excellent stay
Absolutely amazing experience! Rooms are comfortable and clean, and the food in the restaurant is delicious. The hotel is very close to a grocery store and the S-Bahn, which were nice to have access to.

This must be one of the best places to stay in Bavarian. Everything from the welcome on arrival to leaving was a great experience. Rooms are well appointed and spotlessly clean. The mountain views are awesome. The restaurant was always busy because of great quality and service. The veal chop was the high spot! A great place in every way.

Wir können das Klostermaier in Icking empfehlen. Hotel Sauber Schöner Restaurantbereich Schöne Terrasse 1-2 E Auto Ladestationen (Wallboxen für Hotelgäste, ca. 50cent/kwh) 4 E Trecking Räder zum Verleih vorhanden Ausreichend Parkplätze, Geschützt im hinteren Bereich Zimmer Renoviert und sauber Zimmer mit Franz Balkonen langen. Da ist genug Platz für einen kleinen Tisch und zwei Stühle und toller Ausblick 2 Wasserflaschen (ist zwar heute Standard, aber da einige auch gerne darauf verzichten möchte ich es hier explizite erwähnen) Pflegeprodukte Prija, aus Italien. Nachhaltig und riechen sehr gut Frühstück Sehr sehr gut. Eierspeisen auf kleiner aber feiner Karte. Selbstgemachtes Granola, usw. (nur die Röstbohnen haben uns nicht überzeugt, aber da sind wir sehr picki.) Sauna Alles da was man braucht 2 Saunen und ein Dampfbad. Ruhebereich, auch aussen Sehr gepflegt und sauber alles Lage Zwar ca. 40 min mit dem Fahrrad vom Starnberger See entfernt und geht auch mal steil hoch (zumindest wenn man vorher schon 6h am See geradelt ist) Sehr schön gelegen um den Isartalradweg nach München zu nutzen Rewe 5min entfernt, für kleinere Getränke Einkäufe S Bahn Haltestellte 5min entfernt Einen Stern weniger, da halt dann doch ab 160Euro außerhalb München leicht hochpreisig. Aber wie geschrieben die oberen Punkte machen das wieder gut..

Nous avons séjourné dans cet établissement début décembre. Situé à proximité du tramway, et d’un supermarché. À une demi-heure environ du centre-ville de Munich. Hotel familial très propre. Chambres agréables avec un petit balcon avec vue sur la campagne et les Alpes. Literie confortable, machine à café. Le petit déjeuner offre un choix varié. Une jolie étape. Le restaurant est réputé mais lors de notre séjour il était complet donc nous n’avons pas testé
