This hotel has an incredible location beside amazing Chateau Anjou. It is also close walking distance to the wonderful shopping and restaurant district. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I will always try to stay here when I am in Angers.

Loved this hotel! Will definitely stay there again. Had a fabulous view of the castle from my room. The reception was wonderful and their recommendations i.e. restaurants, sightseeing, etc were spot on. I felt very safe and comfortable as a solo traveler. Definitely recommend staying at this hotel!

First, I must start with the hotel's hosts. They were all fantastic...attentive and friendly service, as well as well-thought advice on things to see and do in the city they all clearly love. Also helped me with some insights into the French culture. They are simply wonderful, and can't thank them enough for helping make my stay such a good one. I stayed more than a week at this hotel, in one of their premium courtyard view rooms. The room was a good size, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and it was quiet, which is what I was looking for. The room--as well as the rest of the hotel and the café-- were kept very clean. Shower had good pressure and the water was hot. The wi-fi never dropped. There is an armoire and some shelves, as well as a place to store two pieces of luggage. Also, there was a kettle with tea/coffee. Breakfast was good--I found it as described by other reviewers. I was able to get a table with a view of the castle as well as the city waking up in the morning. The best thing about breakfast is the endless supply of good, espresso-based coffee. Definitely a plus! The location is incredibly convenient. It's an easy 5-10 minute walk to the train station, and the old town is just outside the door. Lots of good museums, churches, historic buildings, restaurants, chocolate shops and bakeries within easy walking distance. Also walkable are some beautiful parks--some more formal, others more natural. This is one aspect of the city that I wasn't expecting but found that I really enjoyed. And, again, the suggestions of the hosts were very helpful and most appreciated. I hope to stay at this welcoming, small hotel again, and can recommend it highly to anyone planning a stay in the city of Angers.

Very friendly staff, who spoke good English. Our room was in the eaves at the top of the building, with great views towards the castle. The weather was warm and there was no air conditioning on the room, just a desk fan. The first night we left the windows open, but there was a lot of noise from the street below (including a refuse lorry at about 6am). The second night we had the windows shut and used the fan, which was OK, but wouldn’t have been adequate in the peak of summer. Breakfast was 11 euros and consisted of coffee, juice, bread/pastries and preserves, fruit (whole and in salad), yogurt and cereals. The good news was that while we were there, large car parks were free because of building works around the city. The bad news was that the nearest big car park was 3/4 of a mile away.

This is a great hotel with very friendly staff both at evening check in and morning breakfast. Breakfast was lovely. Dog friendly. Great location to see the old city and super fast to get out of Angers to travel north.

Great location, right opppsite the castle, only a few steps away from old historic center of Angers, clean rooms, great view of castle from room, excellent quality of coffee, croissant and baguette for breakfast, lovely hosts, welcoming and helpul

I loved the atmosphere of the café that is the entrance to the hotel. It was so lovely to walk in and feel welcome instantly! We walked into our room and our jaws dropped. The beautiful room with a spa like bathroom to enjoy! The windows looking out towards the Chateau across the street with the nice black out curtains if you wanted to sleep late. The stay was lovely, the room was amazing the price was perfectly reasonable. The décor was very luxurious and modern. We fell in love and will be returning in the spring!
