A wonderful hotel in the centre of town. Room was a bit small like Ibis rooms but very clean and confortable. I got room 317 and it had a magnificent view of the city and the lights at night amazing. Lots of local artists around with great paintings and articrafts. Good breakfast. They are well known for their pastries.

Ideally and centrally located. Nearby supermarkets. Very good breakfast. Very friendly staff. Room was clean. Small bathroom. Cost of the food for dinner is very affordable. Not safe to go out at night. Sad to see poverty evrywhere. Neverthless we have enjoyed our short stay.

The hotel is in an excellent location with many banks and restaurants in the vicinity. It was also very handy yo have a taxi rank outside the hotel which made getting about very easy.
The hotel staff were all very friendly and professional and I felt they did everything to make my stay as comfortable as possible. We stayed in a suite which was large and had a good sized bathroom with large bathtub and separate walk in shower. The normal bathroom toiletries were provided. The room was cleaned daily in an efficient manner. BBC World was the only English speaking channel available on the tv, the rest being French or Malagasy, but then I didn't travel to Madagascar to watch tv.
There is an excellent spa with swimming pool, hydrotherapy and sauna.
The restaurant is well appointed with a fairly good selection of dinner options but I felt that the breakfast offerings need to be reviewed as frequently things were not replenished. The service however was good and I had no complaints.
I fully intend to return to Antananarivo in the future and will certainly choose Le Louvre hotel as my hotel of choice.

We looked for calm in the chaos of the megacity Antananarivo. We found a place, were we could chill and feel only the silence of a couple who searches for calm and peace. Spa, room and meals offered, what we needed. Thank you!

I was woken at midnight with a very loud vibrating noise I rang reception who advised it was from the kitchen and they would fix it within 10 minutes It was impossible to sleep or rest the noise was so loud 2 hours later they stopped the noise I was then aware of more noise from my air conditioner I had to get dressed to find some one who was able to turn it off remotely as the controls in my room were not working There was no apology or attempt to find a quiet room The next day I told the manageress who said sorry I was extremely tired and felt that my welfare had been completely ignored I asked my tour company to cancel my next booking with them a week later but they refused to do this The hotel refuses to put water in the room after the first night despite the water in the taps being discoloured and unsafe to drink. I was extremely disappointed with the standard of this hotel and would not recommend anyone stay here

The staff is haughty towards their compatriots. There is a difference between how they receive a foreigner versus a native. Well, this is typical behavior of a Malagasy towards another Malagasy. But even though the staff should not be so cold towards other customers, the service given should be the same for everyone.

A hotel located in a very good location not far from the presidential palace in the city center. What stands out the most is the staff, absolutely nothing to say, hats off! Same for the heated swimming pool, sauna, hammam...! The hotel is a bit dated if not with a little more effort on hygiene (mosquito, clean sheets, cockroaches, ants but to be honest it wasn't dramatic either). If this is done, the hotel will have nothing to envy to a 5 star! Upper Room
