14.562012°, -90.736172° Our reservation was transferred from hotel Los Búcaros to hotel Marie José opposite at 7a Avenida Norte in Antigua. Hotel Marie José is no longer an independent hotel with a hotel nameplate anymore, hotelnameplate is stored inside, but more of a simple annex of Los Búcaros. For breakfast, you have to go to Los Búcaros. Hotel Marie José has two floors with rooms around an open courtyard. In December 2024, room 208 (2F) was a simple family room with two double beds and one single bed. Apart from the shower, television and poor Wi-Fi reception, there are no conveniences. The window for fresh air opens onto the courtyard, which reduces privacy. The room is cleaned daily, but lacks maintenance. Hotel Marie José is a simple overflow hotel. Make sure you book Los Búcaros.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating in everything in our needs. The issues I had was that they cut the water overnight. The toilet in my room had issues the last two nights of my stay. One of the reasons I book this property was because it offered parking, well I had to park in the street. I apparently the owner of the hotel lives in hotel and as long as his cars were parked in the hotel every one else didn’t matter . He also was not friendly or approachable. I will come back, but I will not stayed at this property.

It was a courtyard room. Noisy. No air con no fan. No screen on window and when closed study. Cars and motorcycles were bought into area at night. Staff loud. One powerpoint in an inconvenient position. One in bathroom. No tap on cold in shower. I would not recommend. Better alternatives around I'm sure
