Very good place to relax, enjoy nature and the lake view. Rent a paddle boat and have ride with the ducks on the lake. Also a good location for a sun-downer and dinner at the lake. I booked a room with balcony - enjoyable lake view from the balcony. Bed is comfortable and clean

We have stayed here three times. Nice location. The only problem some may have is that there is no elevator, so you must carry your luggage up the stairs.

I can't comment on the hotel itself, though it looks upscale and the location on the lake with it's surrounding walking trail is lovely, as is the terrace overlooking it all. Moreover, the dining area is quite chic, but our meals couldn't compare. The first time, it was simply ok, and the second time, our meal was truly sad. We were a group, so got to sample a cross-section of the menu. Presentation was nice, but came with a total lack of flavor and consistency, and portion size for some dishes was ridiculous. The best bet seemed to be the kids' hamburgers.

People in the Vogelsberg district know that you can dine well at the Seehotel Michaela and enjoy a great view of Lake Antrift in the beer garden on the large hotel terrace. Accordingly, the restaurant seats were well occupied and you should plan your time accordingly. The flamed salmon from the Feuerwand, which is offered every Friday, makes up for the wait. Very tasty and recommended. We would be happy to come back, as the service ladies were very friendly throughout.
