Mercure Changbai Mountain North

The hotel's location is super convenient, close to both the Rice Inn and the Changbai Mountain North Scenic Area. The front desk staff were also incredibly nice and helpful!

My experience at Mercure Changbaishan was absolutely perfect! The location is super convenient, close to both the high-speed train station and the North Slope scenic area, making getting around a breeze. The room was spotless, and the underfloor heating kept it wonderfully warm. The bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent. I especially liked the three-part bathroom. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and check-in was quick. The breakfast spread was extensive and even included local Yanbian specialties. Staying here made my trip to Changbaishan so reassuring. It’s great value for money, and I highly recommend it!

The hotel even called beforehand to confirm if I needed a pick-up service and upgraded my room for free, which was fantastic. The room was spotless, and the slippers were the best I've encountered in any hotel recently, really showing the quality and care put into their amenities. The hotel's location is great, not far from Erdaobaihe and the Cloud Peak market, and the room's balcony offers beautiful snow views. I'll definitely consider staying here again next time I'm in the Erdaobaihe area.

The most pleasant surprise during this stay was the service from Front Desk staff Xiao Cui! She was incredibly efficient during check-in and her constant smiles made us feel very welcome. With employees like her, we'll definitely be back!

Service: Just a few details to highlight: After asking the front desk for extra water on the first night, the housekeeping staff proactively provided more water every day. On our last day, we had an early departure and they even allowed us to have breakfast earlier. Thumbs up! Facilities: The facilities are also great, especially the smooth screen mirroring, which I highly recommend. Breakfast: The breakfast was plentiful and well worth the price. Environment: The environment is good, and it's close to Changbaishan Station. Hygiene: The hygiene was good, full marks.

This is our second time staying here, and the breakfast is still delicious! The washing machine is also super convenient to use; they've really thought of everything, even a shoe dryer. I accidentally lost my ID, and another guest found it and returned it – I'm incredibly, incredibly, incredibly grateful! It saved me so much hassle! The hotel also offers a pick-up service from the high-speed rail station.

The accommodation and dining at Mei Ju were quite good, located in an independent building next to a small park. We chose a deluxe twin room with a balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows facing the park, offering a nice view. The TV was large, but watching movies required a membership. The location was a bit far from the main street, so the front desk staff helped us contact the hotel driver to take us to the main street for 10 yuan, which was about the same price as a taxi and more convenient. However, the hotel's travel butler was a bit arrogant. We had called the front desk in advance to book a ride to the high-speed rail station. The next day, when we came down on time, the butler, with his nose in the air, said there was no such service. I showed him the "hotel confirmation letter," and he claimed it was a platform service and had nothing to do with the hotel. After some argument, and fearing we'd be late, we decided to call a taxi. Then he said that even though there was no such service, he could arrange for someone to take us. We didn't want this 'charity,' but we couldn't get a taxi on short notice, so we ended up taking his arranged ride. When booking a hotel, make sure to confirm whether the services listed on the hotel confirmation letter are actually valid, so your travel mood isn't ruined like ours.
