Very nice mountain hotel in the heart of the national park. Well equipped rooms. Good Italian breakfast. Friendly and helpful owners. Possibility of many trips to the nature. Parking directly at the hotel. The hotel does not prepare dinners, but there are several excellent options nearby (e.g. La Barme).

Great stay, room is very clean, bed is comfertable. Service is great. Glutenfree home made cake at breakfast every day. Bathroom has everything, enough towels. Nice place near the river and quiet at night. Entrance late at night by code so you come as you please.

Best bits about the hotel were the breakfast and the location. Breakfast was hearty buffet perfect for setting up a wslking ***. Location in Valnontey means you are at the foot of the trail to the Sella refuge and that bit closer to the glaciers compared to Cogne. Room was clean with balcony: only issue was that shower took a while to get warm. Two sisters friendly and helped us with walks. Go to Bar du Village for drinks with view of glaciers.

WOW, I absolutely loved my stay in this hotel!
I travelled alone, but the whole staff made me feel so welcome and relaxed. The two daughters (around my age) were really helpful, regarding practical 'stuff'; and I really appreciated their enthusiasm and support regarding me climbing the Gran Paradiso summit!
The breakfast is incredible! Luckily all the hours of walking evened it out calory wise ;).
Hotel Herbetet is located in beautiful and very quiet Valnontey, ideal starting point for many magnificant (long) hikes. I wish I could have stayed longer, this region is perfect for nature-loving hikers. The nice little mountain village Cogne is just a quick walk (or drive) away and provides you with cute shops, very good espressos, additional restaurants an a small supermarket.
I will definitely return to this hotel some day (hopefully in the near future)!

Had a wonderful stay here. The hotel’s location is beautiful and you can start your hike in the area right from the hotel. The staff was very nice, the room was large and breakfast was good with a large selection of cold items. Will gladly return here.

I loved staying in Valnontey, and the two sisters, Nathalie and Christine, who manage Hotel Herbetet couldn't be more welcoming or helpful! The room was clean and nicely designed, with a little view out the window down the valley. The breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend staying at Hotel Herbetet.

Siamo tornati dopo l'alluvione dell' anno scorso, grazie ai lavori in parte già fatti e che stanno ultimando, per ripristinare le strade e i servizi. In questo hotel a conduzione famigliare ci si trova davvero come in famiglia con Christine che sapientemente ci fa' sentire a casa. Le camere disposte con una vista panoramica verso il massiccio hanno buon spazio, bagno agevole e finestrato con un piccolo terrazzino . Il parcheggio all'interno dell' area hotel, molto ampio, gratuito. Servono ottimi aperitivi con vini della zona. Un saluto e ringraziamento anche a Maurizio oltre che alla sorella e ai suoi gentilissimi Genitori. Speriamo, a Dio piacendo, di tornare da Voi anche l'anno prossimo!

L'albergo è situato in una zona molto comoda ai servizi e altrettanto silenziosa e riservata. Si tratta di un edificio finemente ristrutturato e curato nei minimi particolari. Impeccabili la pulizia e la cura dei dettagli. Le ragazze che lo gestiscono sono estremamente gentilli e davvero accoglienti. Ottima la colazione e i ristoranti raggiungibili a piedi. Per una vacanza rilassante, a contatto con la natura e con la possibilità di escursioni più o meno impegnative. Ritorneremo sicuramente.
