SSudywoodyKaibu Courtyard is a little gem nestled in Nanping, South of Chong Qing, away from the hustle bustle of the mega city. In terms of location, it was perfect for me and my dad as it is in a residential area, short walking distance of convenience store, subway and plenty of local food nearby. The room was spacious. It's not really a room. It's more like a service apartment. Each unit comes with a living area, a spacious kitchen that is well equipped including a stove, fridge and a washing machine, and 2 bathrooms. They took detail into making sure everything is available, like detergent, noodles, eggs and everyday, a fruit basket. if now, one can usually ask and they will provide almost immediately. The living room also comes with a foot bath and a massage pad which is handy for my dad who is elderly. Overall, I am super happy picking a friendly, personal service hotel that offers lots of warm, while staying in a location that enable me to experience the local culture better. A big shout out to Ms Xia and the nice housekeeper. I fully recommend the hotel to anyone who comes in a group or for those who want to experience warm, or local culture and local experience.

CChenryThe hotel's location is excellent, making it easy to walk to all the major attractions. Plus, the elevator goes directly to the hotel floors, which is a great convenience. The front desk staff's service truly deserves a special mention. When I told them I had lost something on the high-speed train, they proactively assisted me, patiently followed up, and did their best to help me find it. Their service felt genuinely thoughtful.

We stayed here for 5 nights.
Excellent location for getting around Chongqing.
Very friendly, patient and helpful staff especially the front desk staff , the breakfast staff and the downstairs lobby staff (one of them doesn’t know where Raffles City is even after showing him a photo?)
Breakfast is good. The quality and variety differs each morning.
The room is dated, the bed is comfortable. The air conditioning works well, a bit loud sometimes. It’s great to have a washing machine and dryer. There is a dehumidifier or air purifier in our room. The view from the room is of massive skyscrapers .
Generous supply of bottled water in the room though be careful that Evian water and the small bottles of wine ARE NOT FREE!!
WiFi is great.
So why the 2 star ? The reasons for the 2 star instead of the 5 star …
The bathroom and toilet is a let down . There is no separate toilet which is inconvenient. When you sit on the toilet seat you are looking straight at the bathtub and you can clearly see the tiles at the bottom and sides of the bath tub shows the neglect and lack of proper cleaning / housekeeping over the years. There is accumulation of yellowish / brownish gunk on the tiles grout which is unsightly and dirty. See attached photos.
We showed one of the staff how unsightly and dirty the tiles are and she immediately called one of the housekeeping staff to scrub some of the dirt off !
Very surprised that the management is not aware of this issue. What happened to quality control ? We are surprised that there were so few complaints in the reviews about the disgraceful state of the shower room. Surely we are not the only one who had a disgusting shower room in the whole apartment building.
The drainage is slow in the shower.
We accidentally broke a cup and we were told we will be charged 16 Yuan ( we stayed for 5 nights!) but we were asked to write a 5 star review during check out and the 16 yuan will be waived/canceled.
We got a staff member to show us how to use the washing machine/dryer just in case we get charged for accidentally leaving a piece of lint in the dryer ! We cleaned out the dryer lint holder before and after the wash and dry!
This is certainly not what we expect from a Marriott brand. We decided to cancel our stay at another Marriott hotel.

FfengboyjThis hotel boasts an unbeatable location right on Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street, offering breathtaking 270-degree river views from the room. It even comes with a bathtub and disposable bath liners. Shiba-ti is right in front of the building, and Hongyadong, Jiefangbei, Chaotianmen Pier, Raffles City, Arhat Temple, and Huguang Guild Hall are all within easy reach. There's a snack street downstairs, and the 'Ma Mei's Bench Noodles' right outside is open 24 hours, serving delicious and affordable vegetarian noodles. The hotel owner is incredibly welcoming. Best of all, the pick-up point for day trips to Wulong Karst Geological Park (Tiankeng Sanqiao) and Dazu Rock Carvings is conveniently located right in front of the Hankou Bank downstairs. With such fantastic amenities and an amazing price, the value for money here is outstanding. If I ever visit Chongqing again, I'd definitely choose this hotel!

MM220896****I arrived in the middle of the night, and since the AC temperature wasn't adjusted, I almost caught a cold. Housekeeping should really inform guests that heating is only available at night and not during the day.
Everything else was pretty good – the location, facilities, and environment were all nice.
There was a platform to watch the drone show, which unfortunately got canceled due to rain. That was a bit of a shame.
In the evening, you can take a stroll around Shibati; it's just one subway stop away, which is quite convenient.

We even received a complimentary room upgrade, and in the evenings, a complimentary goodnight soup was delivered to our room, making our stay incredibly relaxing and comfortable. The hotel rooms themselves were excellent, offering scenic views right from our window. Its location is also very convenient, just a 20-minute drive from all the major attractions. We had a wonderful time and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chongqing!

The hotel boasts convenient transportation, perfectly avoiding the traffic restrictions of the bustling downtown area. Convenient for travel, close to the light rail station, the front desk guy also recommended several delicious restaurants! Very delicious 😋! It was also the guy at the front desk who introduced us to Wulong and we didn’t make any mistakes! Very good value for money! It’s perfect for us students!

GGenOhlsonThree stops away from the airport on line 3 (dark blue), this cute little apartment is suited perfectly for a day or two in the area. The building complex is conveniently situated right next to Huaxing subway stop, exit 1.
The building is called 'Huakai Youth City', but it's not a youth hostel specifically. It's a regular apartment building with families and people of all ages living there, so don't think you're screened off staying there on account of age.
The apartment itself is very clean with freshly laundered bedding and a small balcony that looks out onto the tree-lined street. A small kitchen has a couple of basics to supplement groceries bought. There is a supermarket directly under the apartment complex that could supplement any/all that you're missing. There are also a bunch of other amenities in the area including multiple pharmacies and a shopping mall.
The caretaker was very sweet and took a bunch of time out of his day to escort me personally down to the police station to register my passport in the area. Waited with me, accompanied me through the whole process and then took me all the way back. This would only apply if you're a foreigner.
The language barrier isn't an issue if you have a translation app set up or you could just add the person on Wechat and message translate.

YyyAOW11The apartment is well-equipped, clean, and tidy. The room is bright, and the bedding is spotless. One of the shower doors in the bathroom was missing, which caused water to splash out when showering, but the room itself was quite spacious.
They provide mineral water, an electric kettle, a hairdryer, slippers, and umbrellas are available for loan. The toilet paper and tissues were of good quality; however, the hand soap was poor.
The apartment is right next to Jiefangbei. Bayi Delicious Street is just outside, and the Linjiangmen subway entrance is downstairs to the right. There's also a big dining plaza nearby, perfect for food lovers. It's also very close to Shibati and Hongyadong.
The apartment's host was incredibly thoughtful, offering warm tips and recommending authentic local restaurants.
