With a private entrance and all the amenities you need for a great vacation, you'll feel right at home in our cozy and inviting space. Short 10 minute walk to the beach, and only 5 minute walk to the sound with a public access!Featuring a spacious bedroom and a comfortable couch, our apartment is the perfect place to unwind after a long day at the beach. The kitchenette includes a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, making it easy to prepare light meals and snacks. The bathroom features a large tiled shower and we have an outdoor shower for rinsing off sandy toes and salty skin.Enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail on our private outdoor seating area or take a nap in the hammock. Our backyard offers plenty of space to play and relax.Our home is perfectly located between Jockey's Ridge State Park and the Outer Banks Mall. Biking is a popular mode of transportation in the area and the beach and sound are easily accessible by bike via sidewalks and crosswalks. Golf enthusiasts will appreciate the nearby 18-hole championship course at Nags Head Golf Links.We take pride in being able to provide our guests with insider tips on the best dining spots and things to do in the area. We provide beach chairs and bikes to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Our neighborhood features an outdoor waterside community area available to guests that includes a playground , pickleball, basketball, and a dock for fishing and crabbing. A small sound side beach access is also within walking distance, ideal for watching the sunset or launching a kayak or paddleboard.As a family-friendly home, we ask that guests keep noise levels reasonable and avoid loud partying or drug use. Our goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment for all of our guests to enjoy! Come and enjoy old Avon Village on a quiet one way street. The Surfstead suite offers an eclectic blend of island history, craftsmanship and comfort in one of the oldest houses on Hatteras island. There is a private deck and entrance leading into a living and dining area equipped with a Roku tv. Prepare your meals in the fully stocked kitchenette. The bedroom has a queen size bed with another Roku tv, and a full bathroom with a tile shower. A private hot tub too! We look forward to sharing "This old house" with others! Built at the turn of the 20th century, the house has weathered many storms and with a lot of TLC she is ready to weather more. This unique space has all a traveling surfer or couple would need to enjoy all Avon has to offer. Centrally located, the beach is a 10 minute walk away as are numerous restaurants and epic sunset spots such as Avon Harbor. The suite is a completely private space, as is the outdoor shower and hot tub. Guests are free to enjoy the suite in its entirety including the private outdoor living space. We live in the upstairs space as a small family of 4. We do not party or stay up late but during the day you may hear our young daughter from time to time. We always try and be as respectful as possible! Always tranquil, there is no other neighborhood quite like Scarborough Town own Hatteras island. We have laundry facilities upstairs which we are happy to share with guests if they find themselves in need to freshen up their boardies after a few long, hot days on the beach.
