Really basic hotel but perfect for our needs. I went with my 11 year old daughter and used as a base for travel to Vaduz and then St Gallen for the Women's Euros match between England and Wales. Check In was indeed "self" and was a bit tricky as the computer didn't recognise my booking reference, but eventually got checked in. Room and hotel as a whole was really clean, bathroom modern and functional. Was a nice twin room with a desk and sitting area. Very light room, and I know a previous review mentioned the bell ringing in a negative light, but I thought this was a lovely quirk of the hotel. So well located - minutes from the lake and also close to the town centre with nice restaurants and bakeries. Two minor criticisms - I booked it on *******, and their first picture is of a wonderful swimming pool with slides etc. I thought this meant the hotel had a pool, but actually it was the local pool, which was amazing, but felt slightly misled. Parking was a bit of a pain - plenty close by, but had to pay, and wasn't really sure how long I could leave car there for without moving it. Arbon is a beautiful town, and well worth a visit!
