Great location and a wonderful attached restaurant (where the staff were superb). WiFi - for those interested, was a bit hit and miss, but this is a castle and the wall are thick - go figure! This is one location where I’d recommend a room upgrade. Ours was fine but perhaps a little poky. Bed linen certainly not the finest but this is a 4 star establishment, not 5* so calibrate your expectations accordingly. I’m sounding lukewarm but really don’t mean to. It’s a lovely space, lots of places to sit out and soak up the atmosphere - and a real buzz at breakfast (great variety of choices and endlessly nosy other guests checking what is on one’s plate. Easy walking distance of Uzès, too. We had a great stay.

We ate in the restaurant La Plage. Previously it was just a simple grill, but it has been turned into a restaurant. The building is very nice and they have upped their game. The setting is lovely near the pool, overlooking the garden. The wine list was ridiculously expensive - one local wine that we buy direct from the vineyard for 9€ was listed at 90€!! Starters were fine, but our main course (volaille) was overworked to the point it was utterly dry and tasteless. Very disappointing. We paid 138€ for 2 starters, 2 horrid mains, a bottle of mineral water, 2 coffees and a bottle of wine from the cheapest end of the wine list. Far too much for such a disappointing experience.

Only stayed a night as part of a hotel-to-hotel walk locally and arrived the first evening from Avignon TGV (50 minutes by taxi). Lovely place with lots of historical characterful aspects. Quiet room at the top of the hotel and helpful staff at reception. Meal across the lane in their restaurant/pool area was a pleasure. Breakfast was a generous buffet. All in all highly recommend.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and well equipped. The pool area was shady and swimming pool clean. The hotel has been beautifully restored. We came in an electric car and just plugged in our charger in a normal plug. Would be useful to have a proper charger, but really wasn’t a problem. The only disappointment was our evening meal in the restaurant by the swimming pool. The food that we chose was fairly basic in presentation & expensive for what it was, however the staff were very friendly. The hotel is only 2 kms from Uzès. We really enjoyed our stay.

A wonderful place to relax with a lovely garden with a pool and quiet surroundings. The staff were welcoming and helpful. Comfortable clean room with charming furnishings. The breakfast was delightful with plenty of choice and could be taken outside. Plenty of space to park with no charge.

This hotel retains a lot of the charm of an old chateau - a winding staircase it’s wide and worn stone steps, high ceilings, a relaxing garden. It is in the country and very quiet. We ate our dinners there as well - a multi course feast with three types of lamb for Easter, exquisitely prepared.

I booked this charming hotel in a castle near Uzes, in true Provence region for my parents who needed a restful stay. They absolutely loved the place, from the gentle team to the comfortable room with a lot of charm and the great breakfast. As the comments on the restaurant were not so good, they only had breakfast there. The park around the castle is beautiful and the swimming pool must be very pleasant in summer
