Disappointing experience from the start - I booked the table for our meal in January and was told we would have to preorder (fair enough) and that I could expect the menu for our April booking to be emailed mid February - I had to chase twice to receive this. Two of our party of nine arrived less than five minutes after the booking time (owing to unforeseen illness) and joined the rest of the party in the garden having drinks - we were immediately approached by a member of staff telling us that “chef was ready for us” ….. we were shown to an eight person (very small) dining table in an empty dining room - there was no room for the wine to be on the table! it was very tight, the other tables were all laid up but no one came to eat in the room for the duration of our meal. The price was not reflected in the quality/presentation of the food. The service charge was over 10% We have been going to Findon manor for “special “ family meals for over 15 years and it certainly didn’t live up to expectations/past experiences this time

Stayed at the Findon Manor on Sunday night and couldn't fault it. The hotel is lovely, full of character and charm, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will be returning.

We had our mothers wake here and it ruined the day. The food was average at best. The service was nearly non existent. Trying to get a drink from the bar would take anywhere up to twenty minutes. Then basic things you would absolutely expect a hotel bar to have they didn’t. Baileys, they didn’t have then good old coffee we tried to order and was told “out of coffee beans”, no going to check if there was some in the kitchen or store cupboard just “out of coffee beans”. This hotel’s lack of service average food and lack of basic essentials spoiled the celebration of our Mums life. Would not recommend this hotel and would never step inside it again.

This is a super hotel. The building is a lovely old manor house and has been designed in a contemporary smart style inside. Our bedroom was extremely clean and had very comfortable beds with good linen. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The options for breakfast are delicious and used quality ingredients. We had the perfect stay and look forward to coming again.

The worst afternoon tea I’ve ever had, We were sat in the restaurant empty but sat next to a table of 2 people why not spread people out make them feel more comfortable extremely cold room had to keep coat on. Sandwiches dry def not made on the day ! Cake dry ! Nice scone shame it was the size of a chicken nugget ! With loads of clotted cream for a scone that size absolutely ridiculous. We literally were there for 30 mins and left too cold not welcoming. Not impressed&i Wouldn’t recommend. I wish I had taken pics but I didn’t.

From the first phone call to walking out the door, we found this hotel friendly, helpful & clean. We only stayed one night but couldn’t fault it. Room was large with comfy bed & lovely en suite. Well supplied with toiletries, towels & refreshments. Fabulous food in the restaurant - a great choice. Thank you. If we’re in the area again, we would definitely come back.

On arrival the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. They got us into our room immediately despite us arriving earlier than expected. Lots of easy parking close to reception and a lovely garden for the dogs! Room was fine except very cold when we arrived back after dinner. One of the radiators wasn't working and one turned off by previous occupants. Once turned back on - the room was cosy. Full Sussex breakfast was a treat...especially the local black pudding!

Stayed here for 2 nights this week and it really is a lovely hotel situated in a small village just north of Worthing but easy to find. Quite small - as in about a dozen rooms, but really well equipped and really friendly staff. Plenty of car parking, nice bar arear. Lovely clean room and a super comfy bed. Good wi fi connection Nice restaurant for dinner with a nice wine list - both very reasonably priced Just one word of warning - if you are going to have the full Sussex breakfast then make sure you are REALLY hungry !!!! Superbly cooked and huge but great quality ingredients. One of the best ever. A definite "will stay here again" if I am ever in the area. Thank you

We went for Xmas Lunch on 25th December and we were very disappointed with our meal. The main meal, pigs in blankets were white and looked uncooked and a lack of vegetables especially with the beef. The Xmas pudding was not what we expected and the chocolate/orange tart was all pastry with lump of ice cream on the top. The mince pies were unreasonably small.
