"Very good location, less than 5 min from Atami station. Clean & modern. Simple Japanese breakfast provided. Convenience store nearby. Nice lobby to lounge around. Modern bedroom with comfy beds"
"Hotel Resorpia Atami was an unplanned booking on my trip. I got stranded at Atami Station due to Typhoon No. 11, so I ended up booking this hotel. To my surprise, it exceeded my expectations:
1) The hotel is located by the sea and is a 10-15 minute walk from Atami Station.
2) All rooms face the ocean and there are Japanese-style tatami rooms, which felt very authentic.
3) The hotel has a large public bath (onsen) where you can enjoy a relaxing soak while watching the sunset or sunrise – it was incredibly romantic!
I'll definitely stay here again next time!"
"I suppose the charm of Atami is that the whole area is a little bit 'dated' as far as a resort goes, and this hotel definitely aligns with that - it seems like a place that was once great and is now kind of just rolling along bringing in what money it can.
The food is serviceable but totally uninspired - an upscale cafeteria masquerading as something better than it is with 'chefs' wearing their whites. The entire dining room constantly smells of fryer oil from the tempura - which they still make and keep stock of in such large quantities that it is never fresh and crispy anyways (especially the shrimp, which has not been sufficiently dried before battering). The remaining hot dishes are very disappointing both in terms of variety and overall flavor. The sushi and sashimi is the standout of the food, although it too is very basic - not anything that will blow your mind, but acceptably tasty and reasonably fresh (although on our second night everything tasted a bit soapy/bleachy). As a westerner you will be very disappointed by the breakfast, although that's a 'me' problem rather than a hotel problem per se.
The spa facilities are nice but a bit dated - be careful in your selection of both time and location unless you want to be surrounded with many loud (mostly Chinese) children. Private spas are available and are quite nice, although again dated. Nonetheless at around 60 USD for an hour the price is good for the privacy, especially as a westerner who is otherwise subject to quite a bit of staring at this mostly local and Chinese spa.
We stayed in a deluxe king room, which was spacious with an enormous and comfortable bed, and a (For japan) reasonably sized tub. Room and desk service was good.
The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but has regular free shuttles to/from Atami station, which is where the main tourist streets for shopping etc can be found. Highly suggest checking out Golden Eye for some excellent Ramen."
"The view was really great, amenities and breakfast with a view was a plus point. The balcony was a little outdated but with the view, it was still acceptable.
I have enjoyed my time here. Definitely will visit again."
Located on a hilly area about 6-8 minutes by car from the city center, including Atami Sun Beach. The frontage is over 6 meters, and steps down from the road reveal a dirt veranda and rock garden, perfect for relaxing with friends or family.
This two-story house is perfect for enjoying a BBQ in the garden if you bring your own (cleaning fee applies). Enjoy seafood from Suruga Bay and fresh vegetables from Izu. (Ingredients must be brought with you, so please purchase at nearby Aeon Max Value.) A police station and Tokai Bus garage are nearby. We recommend visiting Yamadayu Hot Springs, a day spa near Aeon Max Value.
After dark, you can enjoy the tranquility of Atami's inner sanctum, gazing at the beautiful night view and starry sky and listening to the gentle murmur of the river. If you're coming by car, there is parking for one car. Please inform us of your intention to use the parking lot when making your reservation. There are three guest rooms, each with two single beds (for two people) and a computer desk. There are also washing machines, refrigerators, and microwaves, making it ideal for long-term stays.
We accept contact by email, but in emergencies we will respond by phone.
"I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to the front desk staff, especially Dar. She is helpful, kind, and I am truly grateful for her proactive assistance.
Additionally, all the facilities in the hotel are excellent. It’s rare to find an onsen inside a hotel room with endless sea views, which is incredibly relaxing.
The breakfast and club lounge experience were also great!"

"This resort hotel is perfectly located, spacious and right on the beach. The rooms are also spacious, and the balcony overlooks the Pacific Ocean – a truly stunning, unobstructed view. Your stay also includes a complimentary visit to the Fuua Infinity Ocean Spa, which is simply amazing, offering breathtaking views from the sky. The room was also very clean, and they used green tea-scented toilet paper. If I ever visit Atami again, this will definitely be my choice."
"I don't know much about it, but it feels like a relic from the heyday of Atami, a place frequented by many Japanese tourists. It's not like there are few foreign guests, but it was interesting to see that the concierge staff were afraid to speak English. If you answer in English, they'll try to replace you with someone who speaks English well. Haha. Well, there wasn't anything particularly inconvenient because of that. The hotel has three public baths, including an open-air bath, and there's even karaoke in the pool. If you order dinner, you can get unlimited access to all kinds of alcoholic beverages at the buffet for an hour and a half. It felt like it was optimized for family trips and company seminar stays. Despite the many public baths, only one bath towel is provided per person. Please note that you will be charged for additional requests. Bottled water is not provided, so you have to use the vending machines, and the drinks from the vending machines are generally quite expensive. There are also massage chairs, but these are also charged. Maybe because the basic weekday accommodation fee is cheap, but it felt like it was covered by the facility usage fee. Still, I'm satisfied because the price is reasonable and it's convenient to use."
"It is an old hot spring hotel that has been in business for at least 40 years. It has a good location. The Atami Ginza Shopping Town is right at the door. It is about 15 minutes' walk from Kinomiya Station and Atami Station. The hotel itself is divided into the main building and the annex, which are connected by a passage.
Check-in: Check in at the front desk of the main building. The introduction is very careful. A detailed hotel map and check-out, a list of precautions such as hot springs, etc. will be provided, as well as meal coupons and the time to enter the restaurant for breakfast and dinner.
Environment and sanitation: The hotel lobby, restaurant, hot spring and bathroom are all large, and the overall style is very retro Showa, but very shabby. My room doesn't even have a headboard, and the bathroom is yellow; although it is shabby, it is very clean, and there is no dust on the bathroom and windowsill.
Facilities: Hot springs - 2 open-air hot springs and a large indoor hot spring on the second floor underground. No reservation is required. Each hot spring is very large and the environment is beautiful. Yukata can be selected by yourself at the entrance of the passage from the main building to the annex.
Entertainment: There is a large game room, no reservation is required. There are also mahjong rooms and table tennis rooms, which require reservations.
Transportation: The hotel provides free shuttle bus to Atami Station, and the timetable is available at the hotel entrance."
"The room condition, size, food, and hot springs were all good value for money, and it was a decent hotel.
However, the reason I gave it one star was because:
1. When I used Google Maps to find the hotel via rental car, it only led me to the back of the building, which was on a hillside road. Even the lobby counter knew this. I wish the hotel would take corrective action with Google.
2. The travel platform didn't provide any additional information beyond the ”free dedicated parking” description. The actual parking lot was about a 15-20 minute walk from the hotel, and there was no space in front of the hotel to park, check in, or unload.
I rented a car, but I was frustrated because I couldn't find the parking lot entrance."

Very Good
GGuest UserGreat place to stay and relax!
Pros. Have a lot of free services and amenities e.g. free shuttle bus from JR Atami station, Comic room, Free boardgame to use. The best thing of this hotel is food meal! They serve all you can eat snack& drink alcohol served for free at 15-18pm. The buffet both dinner and breakfast are very superb. The dinner is all you can eat BBQ seafood (abalone, crab, shells, shrimp) that you can ask for abalone unlimited, lisewise the breakfast is all you can eat BBQ fish (Kinmedai,Saba, Ham&Sausage) with salad. I do recommend this hotel if you want to have great seafood meal with alcohol.
Cons. Very small onsen
GGuest UserService is excellent. Once we called them at Atami Train Station, their car arrived in 10 mins to pick us up. The free ride from/to train station is very helpful. Free drinks and snacks during happy hours 3-5pm is very good. We have seafood, beef, fish and semi buffet for dinner. The beef was good. Fish is okay. Overall the services are very good and staffs can speak English that made it easy to communicate. The ocean view from our room is beautiful.
CCHIU HANAt first, I was worried about the facial recognition system and the user experience at the self-service check-in after reading the reviews. Once we arrived, the location was easy to find and check-in was very simple. There was a sticker at the door with the booking person's name, the bed number, and a code. Just press the code to enter. It's less than 15 minutes from Atami Station, and the walk from the station to the hotel is downhill. There's a supermarket and convenience store in between. It's a short walk from Atami Nanayu and Kinomiya Shrine. The restrooms and bathrooms were clean, with separate bathrooms for men and women. The beds were large, and the value for money was very good.
RrinnリンThe bathroom is surprisingly clean. The location is good and not far from JR, but there is a slope. There is only one bathroom. The boys' bathing time is too short. They will not have enough time to take a bath after returning from the fireworks festival. Basic toiletries, disinfectants, etc. are all provided. Anyway, there are many charged items, so it’s best to bring your own. Breakfast is a bowl of Ochazuke rice with an egg. The self-service option includes dishwashing. If you don’t have any requirements for breakfast, you can consider it.
BBosco FungIt was my first time to search for a hotel by car. It was very difficult to find a hotel. I couldn’t find the two hotels on the left. I searched Google Maps and couldn’t find the location. I passed three hotels in a row and there were no signs on the roadside.
The staff at the two nearby restaurants always have people asking for directions😆😆
Old-style hotel, you have to carry luggage on the first floor
The front desk staff is friendly and kind.
The restaurant is nice
PPatapeppyThe hotel is a 7-minute drive from Kinomiya Station. There are no convenience stores, restaurants or other shops nearby, so if you want to find a restaurant or convenience store, you have to go to Atami Station. The hotel can only provide a few free buses a day between the hotel and Kinomiya Station. If you reach Atami Station, you have to take the railway, which is only a 2-minute drive away.
Since we booked the hotel on the same day, we could only book some rooms without showers, so we had to go to the public baths to take a shower and soak in the hot springs. We successfully booked the hotel at 11:00 am on the day of check-in. Knowing that the hotel provides free station pick-up service, we contacted Ctrip customer service to inquire about the hotel, but the hotel did not respond, so we had to take a taxi when we arrived at Kinomiya Station.
When you arrive at the hotel, all check-in procedures are self-service and you need a password to check into your room. The hotel staff are very friendly, especially a female staff with short hair, who can carefully explain and answer any questions. The room we booked included a western breakfast, which was just mediocre. I originally planned to order dinner from the hotel, but after looking at the menu, I felt that there was nothing special, and the price-performance ratio was not very high, so I went to Atami Station for dinner.
GGuest UserIt was a quaint, cozy hotel situated close to JR Atami Station. The hotel has very good food for both dinner and breakfast! The staff are friendly and even though they can't speak good English, they tried their best to communicate to the best of their knowledge and I really appreciate it! I especially enjoyed my time at the onsen on the rooftop, it has good facilities.
The only thing is the cleanliness of the room, since there is still water in the kettle from the previous guests, I didn't want to drink any water from the kettle because of it. They should replace it with a new kettle or clean it. Otherwise, the room is also very cozy, they give yukatas for guests to wear them around the hotel and they also offer free transport to JR Atami station. Otherwise, I would have struggled to get around since there is lack of public transportation at Atami!
I still have a very good time and enjoyed my time because of the friendly staff at the hotel, they are very helpful! 10/10 will come back again with my friends or family in the future.
GGuest UserThe location is excellent.
The rooms are very clean, and although they are small, everything is well-equipped and there is nothing wasted. It is clean, and the open-air bath was also very pleasant. I would definitely like to use it again.
PPumpkinOverall, it could be rated excellent as a local ryokan but may not be ready for international clients. It has won Rakuten bronze award 2023. I am particular about smoking and the non smoking room was full of smoky smell. Also surprised that I have to set up my own tatami bed etc. Staff dependent on google translate but stranded when there's no WiFi. They could have translated common phrases in text. Nice garden.
FFeixiangdefeigegeThe shop is halfway up the mountain, ancient and mysterious.
If you are for sentiment, you can try the century-old house, which feels like going back to your grandma's house, but there are many rules. For example, there is a curfew at 9:00. I experienced the feeling of being soaked and unable to go home. It is ancient but clean, and the outdoor hot spring is very warm. If you want to be comfortable, forget it, a bed occupies a room.
There must be a problem with communication. I added Chinese WeChat, but no one responded to me. The language is impossible to communicate with the new cleaner.
Foreigners are discouraged.
