King George, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Athens Reviews

The location is great and some of the staff are too (was made to feel invisible on more than one occasion). if you’re expecting to have that moment of relief when you finally collapse on your bed following a tiring journey, this isn’t the place. I travel a lot and don’t mind paying premium prices but not for a less than ordinary room which this hotel is. I received an upgrade but even this resembled a poorly decorated worn out living room… not worth the money.

The first stop when I came to Greece was the King George Hotel, a very old hotel, a luxury hotel under Marriott. If you don't know where to stay, then you can't go wrong by blindly choosing this hotel. The hotel service is very good. In addition, the Michelin restaurant in the hotel is a must-eat. You can see the Acropolis every day when you have breakfast. The view is beautiful~

King George Hotel is almost a symbol of Athens hotels, right in Constitution Square. The most central location. The hotel is elegant and generous. The hotel's breakfast restaurant is particularly refreshing, and you can only see the Acropolis in the distance opposite.

I really don't understand why this hotel can be sold for 3k a night. First of all, the room is very small. There is basically no space for the two of us to put our suitcases. There are tables and chairs at the end of the bed, a desk next to the bed, and the curtains are very thick and drag a long way on the ground. Marriott's hotel reminded us to register for membership, and the service attitude is quite good. There are not many types of breakfast, but it is edible. The view of the Acropolis may be worth a little money, but there are hotels with larger rooms and views of the Acropolis nearby. I think this one is not cost-effective The toilet facilities are old and the space is small.

The location is very convenient, just downstairs is Syntagma Square. It is recommended not to miss the hotel’s breakfast time. Choose a seat on the terrace to have breakfast and enjoy the sun while looking at the Acropolis on the top of the mountain. It’s so comfortable~
