Ellerslie Palms Motel

Nice bathroom, chairs stained in our room. Good range of drinks and toiletries. Couldn't find a hairdryer.

This motel will show you the stickers and awards that it has won in the past, but that was under the old management, the current management is clearly not the same. Firstly, it explicitly states on their amenities that they provide AIRPORT PICK-UP SERVICE and AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE. I called them from Auckland airport about my arrival and they claimed that they don't provide either services. When I made my own way to the motel and showed them this information, they insist that the details on TRIP.COM was wrong. Secondly, the person behind the helpdesk counter is always out the door by 4:30pm, even though the sign on the door says "9AM to 7PM". You have to call a couple of numbers, if you don't have a local phone then you won't get any support. Finally, when checking out on a Sunday morning, there was no one there at all. The motel claimed that it can't come to the helpdesk and that all guests need to drop their cards in the box and find their own way to the airport or other places. The location is okay because it's one bus to Sylvia park shopping mall, but it's far from everything else. You will need 2 buses to get to the airport.

Stayed one night in a family unit to break up our journey south, beautiful accommodation and very clean and quiet. The host had the key ready and waiting for us, and fixed the tv in the unit when requested. Lovely to have a decent kitchen and big bathroom too. Room was very spacious. Only issue was the fan in the bathroom didn't go!

Rooms are not bad. Motel is fine, but is it a Motel or emergency housing for scum? Pick one or the other not both! We had very undesirable people living in rooms below us and they were blasting music yelling and swearing through the night there was blood on the concrete. Not a good place for families to stay thats for sure!

I liked that i had the option to drive or take a short bus trip into Panmure shopping centre where there are some good eating options. Even though it is on a main highway we had no trouble getting in and out of the car park, although we timed it before and after peak hour traffic. The only complaint I have was there wasn`t enough coffee or sugar but, we didn`t ask either as we already had our own. We would totally stay there again as it was so clean.

Enjoyed our stay, room was clean & comfortable. Would certainly recommend

Great rooms, with a bit higher level quality materials, however it lacks maintenance a bit. Can't really complain though.

Always good stay here when we come to Auckland, Quite & Peaceful compared to some other motels in the area.

No fly screens on windows and no door handle tags for room to be cleaned or do not disturb..
