There is a $10 food and beverage credit applied per night if you ask the hotel not to change bed sheets but we did not know the max is $30 until we are checking out. After being charged $3 for a bag of checkup and $5 for wasabi I am not happy at all this is what Rydges Auckland had to offer.

Overall, the hotel is pretty good. It's affordable and easy to find. Auckland has a noticeable homeless population, which can be a bit of a drawback. It's very close to SkyCity, and not far from the harbor, seafood market, and zoo. Auckland University, where those blue flowers bloom, the Town Hall, and Queen Street are also nearby. You could also try the new hotels in the vicinity. The popular restaurant Depot is very close, though you'll likely wait about half an hour. The Giapo ice cream shop isn't far either, and also has lines. **Facilities**: Decent. The room has been renovated. **Cleanliness**: Okay. They clean before noon. **Environment**: Need to be a little mindful of the homeless population. **Service**: Pretty good. They offer congee for breakfast.

Excellent location right by the Space Needle, with convenient transportation. The overall cleanliness was good, and breakfast was decent. Check-in and check-out were efficient. Definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Rydges Hotel. The bed was very comfortable providing us a great service. They even let us do a late check out in a last minute. Thank you so much:)

The stay was great, but....the breakfast was very average at best. The coffee was only luke warm, the tin fruit was low (only 2x peaches in the bowl) and the hot food wasn't. I know that it must be hard to keep the food hot but to have smaller quantity in the bowl and refill them often might overcome this.
