Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality, John. Your place is warm, quiet, and absolutely gorgeous, perfectly located in the heart of Auckland. It’s so convenient to catch a glimpse of the Sky Tower, University, and Queen Street. Five stars for everything, especially the breakfast!
难得订到如此环境的可宠酒店，120年的历史老房，那种古色古香的味道还有老约翰的精心准备的丰盛早餐，让人有种如至宾归的感觉。位于奥克兰市中心，近皇后街天空塔和奥克兰大学，来奥克兰值得停留一晚的地方。
毕竟是木制老房子，走过偶尔有咯吱咯吱的响声还有水龙头是一冷一热，稍微有些不便

環境：細節看圖就夠了，一棟歐式老房子，客廳餐廳客房都是滿滿的時代感，住在這裏就像童話中公主的房間。民宿位於奧克蘭CBD區域中安靜的小路旁，距離奧克蘭大學有一個小公園，兼具了安靜和便利。
設施：房間有一定的年代感，設施略微陳舊，部分房間有獨立衞浴但是僅有屏風隔擋，部分房間只有公用浴室。這是房子少有的不足，但考慮房間的年代和裝修風格可以理解。
衞生：雖然設施陳舊但房間衞生很乾凈，主人很用心的打掃，不會有令人不滿意的地方。
服務：服務完全超出預期，主人風趣幽默喜歡跟客人聊天。早餐是典型的英式早餐，提供沙拉、烤麪包和各種果醬，還會提供煎蛋和培根，根據客人的需要定製，能夠感受到主人滿滿的用心。
餐廳旁的世界地圖上滿滿的客人足跡，足以説明這裏的友善、包容、和舒適。如果想要體驗新西蘭當地人的悠閑生活，強烈推薦，但如果希望更現代標準化的住宿可能要再考慮考慮了～

I love learning about the local history of any place we visit because it explains so much about what you see today on holiday. Staying at the Braemar is historically immersive, the rooms large and comfortable, the location is quiet, but central to everything. Your host John, is encyclopedic in his knowledge about anything and everything Auckland or New Zealand. DO NOT miss staying here if you have the opportunity!

We enjoyed our stay at Braemar. We especially enjoyed the hospitality of John and Mel. The location is great. If you enjoy older historic properties, this is a place that you would enjoy. We were easily able to walk to a huge number of good restaurants. Ask John for his favorite place.

We were welcomed to a part of NZ history, a warm home in the centre of the town. Our host John is an open person full of knowledge willing to share, will it be the history of his home that he is so proud of, history of New Zealand that is important to overseas visitors residning under his roof, or about engineering and science of steam engine that my husband is interested in. A great stay and a place to come back when in Auckland!
