Mercure Brest Centre Port

Perfect location wherever you’re arriving from - visiting by boat and berthed in marina or by road or train this Mercure is ideally located. Lovely staff both in reception and housekeeping. Clean comfortable bedrooms with separate w.c. and shower room - both en-suite. Buffet breakfast is good and economical considering there’s only a few alternatives nearby. Would stay again.

Clean, Quiet, Modern Hotel for a Brest stopover Nice, Clean, Quiet, Modern Hotel for a stopover in Brest. We were touring around the Brittany Coast, and we stayed here for one night, on our way from Morlaix, en route to Quimper. This hotel has all you would expect from a Mercure. Location-wise, it is a 5 mins drive / 15 mins walk from the city centre, and the start of the cafes (recommend Kafé Kanggui), coffee shops & shopping area that begins on Rue Louis Pasteur and runs up Rue Jean Jaurès.

The hotel is less than a year old and Google maps shows it as a construction site. Also, it is a short walk from the Gare down about 100 m in elevation, but the stairs are hard to find and Google doesn't know about them.

Nice, but not center New hotel where everyting worked. One unusual design choice was to have the clothes hanging right next to the bed. The issue with the hotel is the location. This was in an industrial harbour area with a few bars, but with about 25 minutes walk mainly through deserted areas to get to the center. Going there in the evening someone tried to rob me.
