A fab hotel. We stayed in the Residence across the road from the main hotel with a large group of like minded Aston owners. The hotel was ideally situated for our tour and all the visits in the area with ample parking underground and above ground. The hotel room was large and well equipped with a large shower room. The only down side were the automatic sensor lights under the side tables which lit up the room during the night when one of us needed a visit to the bathroom and the bathroom had a sensor that lit it up. It was daylight, so we had to cover each with a pillow. Not a well thought out idea. However, everything else was superb. The breakfast was a buffet with someone cooking omelettes to order. It had a full selection of cold meats, cheeses, fish, breads, croissants as well as bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, pancakes etc… The staff throughout our stay were friendly, efficient and very helpful. We would definitely return and would highly recommend

The Hotel am Schloss is very centrally located in Aurich, just a few meters from the beginning of the pedestrian zone. The rooms are really very nice and spacious, the staff is mostly very friendly, but not all are equally attentive. On the last day of our stay the waiter who served us the night before wasn't there and you could tell. The sauce for the main course was forgotten (and unfortunately not given later) or something was offered that I had previously reported to the hotel that I couldn't eat it. On all other days it worked wonderfully. You can see how it really depends on the attention of individual employees, who definitely identify more with their job than others. We also drew the young receptionist's attention to the billing at the reception that she had miscalculated by almost 100 EUR to her own disadvantage. We noticed a hotel employee very positively, who even helped us to get an East Frisian product, which we really wanted to buy, but unfortunately couldn't find it immediately. Despite the two minor inattentions, we really enjoyed our stay and we can imagine going there again.

Von außen und im Lobby Bereich sehr schön und ansprechend. Hervor zu heben ist das professionelle und sehr freundliche Personal. Im angeschlossenem Restaurant das selbe Bild. Sehr aufmerksame Mitarbeiter die ihren Job verstehen. Das Frühstück findet auch im Restaurant statt, deswegen Teil dieser Bewertung. Das Manko: das Zimmer, das für 135€ pro Nacht ohne Frühstück deutlich überteuert ist. Beidseitig neben dem Bett 40cm zum laufen, sehr schlechte Schalldämmung zum Nachbarzimmer. Ich wurde wach und dachte meine Frau wäre schon duschen, war aber aus dem Nebenzimmer. Die Möblierung zwar noch gut, aber von einfacher Qualität und im Stil der 80er. Wenn das gute Personal nicht wäre und das gute Frühstück, wären es keine 4 Punkte.

Tolle Zimmer! Riesiges Bad! Freundliches Personal! Schönes Gebäude! Und das alles mitten in der Innenstadt von Aurich! wir waren für ein Wochenende Gast in diesem Hotel und können es nur empfehlen. Wenn man es mal etwas schicker mag, dann eine klare Empfehlung.

Als Gruppe angereist, Einzelzimmer im Stammhaus, sehr klein, keine Ablage für Koffer, sehr kleiner Schrank. Wer mal lüften oder bei geöffnetem Fenster schlafen möchte, hier Hinweise: rundum sehr laut, aufgrund Baustellen, Lieferverkehr, Gesellschaften, Feiern, Raucher bis spät in die Nacht unterm Fenster. Sehr positiv: die Sauberkeit des Zimmers und Bades!!!! Frühstück in Ordnung, Abendessen nicht gut! Vermutung: Fertigessen, lieblos dekoriert, lau warm, teilweise verkochtes Gemüse, zäh, Dessert wie aus Kübeln. Kein dezentes Abräumen des Geschirrs und Bestecks, Geklapper. Serviceleute wirkten nicht motiviert, sondern sehr gestresst.

Ich habe das Hotelzimmer (leider) nur für eine Nacht benötigt. Ich habe alles vorgefunden was man dazu braucht. Das Frühstück war hervorragend, so startet man gut und zufrieden in den Tag (Heimreise). Einen bemerkenswerten Punkt erhält allerdings das bereitgestellte Rasierzeug. Hiermit kann, bei Bedarf, das Ostfriesenabitur problemlos nachgeholt werden.

Das Hotel liegt in zentraler Lage. Es sind ausreichend Parkplätze u.a. in der Tiefgarage vorhanden. Das Hotel verfügt über ein gerade neu fertiggestelltes Nebengebäude. Die Zimmer sind groß. Hier fehlt es an nichts. Der Service ist gut. Hervorzuheben ist das sehr gute Frühstücksbuffet. Gerne kommen wir wieder.
