Had a lovely four night stay at this boutique hotel. The couple who own the hotel were very friendly and welcoming. The room was large and modern, but in keeping with the character of the building. Breakfast was good and all fresh, you have to order your breakfast the night before on line as it’s all made to order. You book dinner also a day in advance as that is all made with fresh produce which needs to be ordered in. The owner is a chef and everything tasted delicious, especially as two out of four of us are vegetarian. They have a great whiskey bar which the husbands really enjoyed. Really great stay, just be prepared to drive distances to activities as it’s a very rural but beautiful location.

We've been staying at Chabanettes on our trips to southern France for around 8 years now. The improvements that Tim & Ingrid have made to the hotel are incredible, hardly a year has gone by without improvements being made - some are invisible like the insulation others more obvious such as the rooms and the dining room. There are five rooms and we have stayed in all of them. They are all very comfortable with everything that you need, but the Studio and Snug are a touch of luxury and a lovely way to spoil yourselves for a couple of nights (or more). Tim and Ingrid are very passionate about this beautiful part of France and always have fantastic suggestions for places to visit in the area. Another of the highlights is the four course evening dinner (remember to book). We were impressed with Tim's cooking when we first stayed there - it's why we returned - but we continue to be even more impressed as each year goes by. It's safe to say that his meals will be among the best we have eaten all year. Chabanettes is a great place to start and end your holiday in France, as well as a great place to stay to discover the Livradois-forez and the Auvergne.

Very nice little hotel where we stayed for several days. We were very well received by Ingrid and Tim who are very attentive to the well-being of their customers. Our room (double) was perfect, spacious, elegantly decorated, comfortable bedding and the bathroom large and very clean. The meals are refined, Tim, the cook is a master in his field and Ingrid assists him in the service with a generous smile. We will keep a beautiful memory of this hotel, chosen for its location allowing us to easily explore the tourist sites of the region and will not hesitate to return (and recommend it). Thank you for everything.

Quand nous sommes arrivés on nous a fait la réflexion que nous n'aurions pas du passer par booking ! Accueil un peu sec et peu empathique . La chambre familiale était confortable mais la salle de bain avait une odeur de renfermé pas agréable du tout .Par contre le diner était délicieux. Le jacuzzi était assez sale , le jacuzzi étant dehors nous sommes pieds nu et le sol est sale. Par contre , on nous demande de nous savonnez avant et il y a une caméra qui est visible à l'accueil, je trouve cela assez intrusif . Sinon endroit très calme .

Nous avons passé une très bonne nuit chez vous. La chambre the Snug est très spacieuse, lit King Size parfait et baignoire balnéothérapie très agréable 👍 Avec l'option cocooning, nous avons profité d'une heure de jacuzzi en extérieur dans l'espace Spa ainsi que le dîner en chambre avec plateau de tapas et bouteille de vin délicieux 😋 Le petit-déjeuner également nous a été servi en chambre 😉 Belle terrasse extérieur au bord de la rivière avec fauteuils suspendus très agréable 🤗 L'accueil a été parfait et sympathique 👏 J'aurais mis 5 étoiles 🌟 mais j'ai été surpris d'être surfacturé d'un supplément pour dépassement de choix d'articles pour le petit-déjeuner...😞 J'estime que nous avons consommé à peine la moitié que d'habitude nous prenons dans un buffet normal 🙊 Un peu meskin...🤔 D'autre part, l'accès en chambre s'effectue à partir de 16h30, le check-out avant 11h et il vous est facturé 15€ par demi-heure dépassée... Un peu tout much au vue du prix facturé 🤪 Bref, une belle étape tout de même malgré ces décevantes surprises 😲

Très bon accueil... Un séjour au calme, un repas digne d'un étoilé.....literie très confortable, chambre spacieuse. Spa très propre.. Jaccuzi à l abri. Au resto, nous avons bcp apprécié la musique d ambiance. Merci à nos hôtes pour ce week-end.
