The Meetings B&B

Awful place advertised as a bed and breakfast and had no breakfast. Also advertised as a restaurant no food. Staff weren’t great either I felt robbed . It’s like there’s no interest in the place. It’s got great potential but to advertise as a b+b and then try charge €30 for breakfast was hard to take.

Location is beautiful however the building has been neglected. Could do with care and attention. Bedrooms were adequate with fresh linen however bathroom was only surface clean. Very noisy even with ear plugs with thin bedroom walls. Breakfast offered a small selection of continental and 3 hot options. Was cafe ok. Dining room had awesome view but needed a good tidying and upgrade. The hostess dressed inappropriately at breakfast with what looked like a black slip dress a teenager would go clubbing in. Overall ok stay but would rather stay at Woodbridge Hotel and pay the extra. Their food was amazing at dinner.

Not one to write reviews but I felt it necessary as some of those on here were quite poor. Found this to be a lovely and charming place to stay. View from the room was fabulous, with even better sound effects from the river! There is a lovely deck area with comfortable chairs and loungers to enjoy the view and the sound of the rivers flowing. There is no food available on site, but the bar is nice for a pre or post dinner drink and there are restaurants 10 minutes drive in either direction. The staff were lovely, a warm and friendly family of hosts. The breakfast was plentiful with meats, cheeses, yoghurts and cooked options. Great price for a relaxing night in the country. It's not 5 star but it's never claimed to be, a good value, clean and pleasant place to stay. We will be back.

Not sure where the bad reviews are coming from, stayed here for one night, its location alone is worth the stay. The room which I stayed was facing the river, amazing sound and view, room is basic but reflects the price, they have playstation for kids equipped kitchen facilities plus breakfast was excellent, its 10 minutes drive either direction for restaurants as they dont do food anymore. Family run staff I found very nice and helpful. All id say is make up your own mind.

Fab views, room was small but clean, bathroom the same, great shower. Breakfast was adequate. The outside of the building could do with a clean-up, quite a few weeds around, the outside wall was dirty as was the sign for the premises. A few nice flowers & shrubs would really enhance the place & help to create a good first impression.

Fantastic views, fabulous,comfy clean rooms, Bar/lounge with very friendly staff and funny, friendly locals. Breakfast delicious. Beautiful handmade crafts sold. But the HOSTS themselves,D & Derek are superb,sooo friendly and funny, nothing to much trouble,the directions and information we needed for the area was spot on from them. They topped our stay, highly recommend this place. Totally AMAZING
