We had a really lovely time at The Kylestrome Hotel in Ayr and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hotel has a bright, contemporary feel with a welcoming atmosphere right from the start. We spent time enjoying some excellent drinks in the bar area, and the service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The staff were great at recommending options and kept everything running smoothly. The decor throughout is modern and stylish, with a comfortable, relaxed vibe that suits the coastal location perfectly. It was a pleasure to unwind there with a drink in hand. If you’re looking for a comfortable, modern hotel in Ayr with a nice bar and good drinks, The Kylestrome is well worth it. We’d happily return!

Room itself was nice but waste bin in bathroom was full . There was nobody to speak to in person but we called the number given and I spoke to the owner who apologised and said it would be dealt with . It never was . On return to the room that night it was obvious that the room next door had invited a load of people back as there was bedlam coming from that room until the company decided to leave a bit after 2am ( well there’s nobody in person to stop people bringing any amount of people back ) . There is a number for “ emergencies “ but with no other means of contact we had to call it . Nobody replied and didn’t get an answer till next day so hardly an emergency option . Lot of road noise in morning too but that’s hardly hotels fault . All in worst stay I’ve had in a hotel with nobody available to address any issues it’s a huge let down . Nobody to address what sounded like fighting , screaming , loud music , door slamming . Hardly a restful environment. Won’t ever be back , why would you ?

First off, the code to collect keys is wrong. The twin room that was booked had a double bed. The restaurant is not part of the hotel, but the general manager Scott helped us sort things he was so helpful. My friend and I couldn't get freshened up for dinner as we were waiting on someone to sort the bed situation. It's not cheap for a room just a let down.

Fantastic ambiance and cozy feel to this hidden gem! Clean and updated rooms, location was perfect! Golfed all day at Prestwick Golf Club, then 15 minute drive to Hotel. Excellent lunch / dinner spot around the corner called the Tudor~ Homecooking at its best! Best Fish & chips, Lasagna and Cottage Pie!

Utterly impersonal. I had an email giving me instructions on how to get in. I wasn't allowed open all the instructions until almost check in time at 1500. I was told to go in a side door, not the front door which was about 12 feet away. There was a key pad which I didn't use as the door was open. Psst the "unmanned" reception desk and up the stairs to my room accessed by putting numbers into a key pad. Nice room. Described as Deluxe Double, an extravagant description. The toilet seat in the tiny bathroom was up when I arrived and I noticed a yellow stain around the under side of the rim of the seat. Bed was very comfortable. No hairdryer. To use mine I removed the coffee machine plug. I slept well until 5am when somebody began shifting furniture about downstairs and a door kept banging. Other than that, the TV was fine, I couldn't open the window which I was instructed to leave shut on departure, so one less thing to do as I have to re read instructions on where to leave the towel. I saw nobody!

We booked one night at the hotel but decided to leave shortly after checking in. We had specifically requested twin beds, but the room had a queen bed instead. There was no staff on-site to help, and when we called customer service, they told us no one would be come over to resolve the issue. We also noticed that the entry code for the main door was the same as our room code, which felt quite unsafe — it seemed like anyone with access to the building could potentially get into the room. We reported our concerns to the hotel and asked for a refund, but our request was declined. The worst experience I had with an hotel.

Bathroom floor dirty. I had to clean it with hot water and towel. Noise from extractor on roof disturbed sleep. Air con was ineffective so we had to drive to the range to buy a fan.
