Hotel Bristol

Wonderfully friendly staff, very knowledgeable and helpful, especially the manager (Inita) so very helpful. The beds were comfy, the room was very clean and had a great view. It’s only a 10-12 minute walk from the centre of town and there are a good number of free buses during the day. Their food was good and they have a lovely cosy bar. I would definitely come back.

Stayed in Feb/March 2024 as part of a ski package. We were initially uncertain about the hotel after reading some of the reviews complaining about both noise and the food, but pleased to say that we did not have an issue with either. We booked the hotel whilst looking for a cheaper ski break and ultimately for the price we paid it didn’t disappoint. The rooms are pretty basic and ours wasn’t massive, but the bed was comfortable and it was cleaned every day and that’s all we needed it for. We asked for a high room away from the bar downstairs and were given one and never had a problem with noise as a result. Not sure how those on the floor 2 above the bar coped, but to be honest whenever we were in or walking past the bar at night, with the exception of one evening it didn’t seem too loud to us anyway. Breakfast was your average buffet – bacon and eggs, cereal, yoghurt, bread etc. Not a massive amount of variety but enough. We did choose the half board option. Food was served in the bar every evening and we had no complaints about it. 3 courses, always starting with a soup and then a choice of meat or veggie main and a dessert. Unless they’ve recently changed their chef I can’t see what those complaining about the quality of the food were talking about! The waitresses in the bar, though efficient, could have been a lot friendlier. On what was presumably their one night off they were replaced by a gentleman who was head and shoulders better at the job. Location-wise the hotel is on the edge of town. A ski bus stops just outside and it’s about a 10-15 minute walk uphill to the main gondola station if you want to do that, which we did every day for the warm up! It helped that though the hotel has a ski and boot room, we hired out lockers at the gondola station for about 36 Euros each for the week so could just leave all our kit their at the end of the day and head straight off for the après ski.

The hotel is in a convenient location. Easy to catch the ski bus. Our group payed for lockers at the gondola, so didn't mind walking back. The rooms are lovely and were impeccably cleaned and tidied daily. The staff are all friendly and did go out of their way to help us. The only negatives is the food. The evening meals are essentially frozen food and frozen pizzas. The pizzas were very very burnt. Another negative is the noise from the bar below. If you have a room above it, not only is it very noisy but the base will vibrate your room until 4am. So would definitely recommend some ear plugs just incase!

Stayed at the hotel as part of a Crystal ski holiday. First time in nearly 60 years ate out 4 out of 7 nights. Breakfast was exceptionally poor...as an example no fresh fruit or selection of pastries. Exactly the same cooked option every day and evening meal was even worse.The restaurant turns to a bar later so not a great atmosphere in it and loud music The room was lovely... could not fault it...large and a great shower...but if you were on the 1st or second floor it would be very very noisy indeed . Boot room is unsecured and boot dryer is a homemade radiator. Dreadful No where to look boards or skis. Quite out of town...10 mins uphill...but near bus stop.Front of house lady very kind. Would not stay here again. I would score 0 for food I would score 4 for room Average 2 If you are willing to eat out though fab restaurants in village especially spa.

My family and I changed our destination from Italy to Austria at the very last moment due to a lack of snow at our original resort. After a challenging journey, during which our landing at Salzburg was aborted and we were diverted to Munich, we arrived via coach at the hotel at around 0400hrs. Our keys were left in the reception and after dropping off our cases we headed for the bar. At this point we were greeted by one of the managers, Klaus, who offered complimentary food and drinks, and as we were travelling with young children, Klaus found us a table away from the bar area, which was bustling with apres skiers, and reduced the volume of the music to suit. After a long day travelling we rose late for breakfast but the restaurant was kept open allowing us to eat. Over the course of the week we were pleased to receive excellent service from all of the staff and management and as a result felt both welcomed and well catered for. In addition, they went over and above on a number of occasions, notably, providing specific sporting channels and drinks on request, and amending their menu when asked. I highly recommend this hotel.
