Great value for money. We knew it wasn’t a 5* so didn’t expect it. I would rate the staff service and beach a 5* though! Rooms are dated and shower pressure was poor but rooms very clean. Staff were super friendly and never had to wait long to get served. Lots of bars around the resort. Average age is quite old but it was still a lot of fun. Evening entertainment was fabulous (except the audience participation nights were painful). Short 15 minute walk into the markets of Bucerias. Cute sports bar right outside the resort to catch all the games. Food was good. Again not 5 star but always good choices including lots of fruit and veggies. We got into the al la cartes every night (two were at 9:00) but still was easy to make the reservation. Overall a great place and we had an amazing time as it is what you make of it!

Overall the facility was clean and tidy, and the staff was friendly. We have stayed here before and this time it was not very busy which made our stay a little more relaxed. However, even though the facility was not full, it was still very difficult to get a reservation in one of the à la cart Restaurants. Some were closed, and others were not booked to capacity as we observed empty seats. The Wi-Fi was sketchy at best and only accessible while in the lobby. They encouraged booking the à la cart through their website, but this was a challenge for us and most patrons, we talked to, as you had to go to the lobby and sign into wifi each time and hope to connect to make the reservation. For such a large complex they really need to have more a la cart restaurants and increase capacity in each of them. We managed to get a 9 pm seating at the Italian restaurant which was really good.
The buffet food was average and a lot of dishes were high in sodium, as was our experience in many restaurant we ate at the week before while staying in San Pancho.
The Decameron offers a reasonable place to vacation with one of the nicest beaches around and 5 pools for lounging (just get your towel on a chair early). As long as you are not expecting a lot of frills it’s a good safe place to vacation.

This is a very large property with six separate blocks. Most blocks have their own pool and dining facilities - both are open to all guests. The "Adults only" pool at block 5 provided a much quieter atmosphere for swimming and sunbathing than the other pools. Standard buffet meals were plentiful and adequate quality. We did not have the opportunity to try the special meals which were not well advertised.
The bathroom had very basic facilities - took a long time for water to run hot. No plug for the handbasin, common in Mexico but very wasteful of water. Some the towels were well worn and scruffy, but towels were always available in quantity. The safe for valuables was completely broken and unusable. Bedding was generally good. Staff very helpful throughout the complex, and especially good in dining rooms.

Really pretty property, lots of activities to have fun and stay busy. Only complaint, the food, I would only give 1 star.
Could be way better, definitely did not have to worry about gaining weight on the trip.

The price was decent but i guess you get what you pay for lol.. the food was terrible. It was impossible to get into any of the a la carte restaurants. The rooms were super dark and dated. The biggest disappointment was the pools were freezing cold.. by the end of the day they finally warmed up but the whole day was feeezing..The resort itself was large and had lots to do with kids. Staff was wonderful as well.

Pool area was great. I didn’t see much advertising for tours/excurstions. Also difficult to change money on resort and front desk not very helpful. Food was not great.

Overall it was pretty good stay. We had bugs in our bathroom and they fumigated but the bugs were still there. Bathroom was a bit run down. Food was good quality but trying to get reservations for the restaurants was a pain

The food is absolutely terrible at this resort, and the rooms look nothing like the pictures shown. I really cannot stress enough how bad the food is here. The staff are incredibly friendly, but if you are paying for an all inclusive resort, the food should be decent.
