Akohara Buahan Village Retreat

Location: The hotel is nestled in a lush, tranquil jungle setting, providing a serene and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for relaxation and a romantic getaway. Guests appreciated the stunning views and proximity to nature, despite its distance from Ubud city center.

They have absolutely shattered our 10 year anniversary plans. We booked in September 2025 the honeymoon suite for this April and with less than 6 weeks notice apparently there was a system issue which lead to double booking and can no longer have that room. Call me skeptical but I don’t believe it. I find it hard to believe we weren't the first ones to have booked that room either as we liaised with the hotel directly AND with luxury escapes before booking and both told us that particular room was available for the dates set. The hotel has offered us the Bayu room saying it was similar (it is not at all) with a lot of extras however we had our hearts set on that room and were happy with our inclusions from luxury escapes as it was. I put this review just to warn people because I don’t want anyone to feel as shattered as I do after months and months of lead up being excited to stay there in that room and experience it all and then being utterly let down. We spent months researching between Fiji and all areas of Bali, making comparison charts and hours of time to find the perfect room for us and we thought we had it. We are completely shattered
