The site is in an exceptional location, 30 mins walk from central Ubud, and 10 mins from the Monkey Forest. It is however at the end of a street in a quiet area, which allows for a great overnight sleep. We joined the cooking lessons, including the local market visit, which was great. We cooked 6 local dishes that we had to eat after the lesson… needless to say, we could not finish it all! We also eat various days in the restaurant and the food was really good, at a great price. The pool is not very big, but is clean and nice for relaxing and cooling down after a long day out. The rooms are ample, clean and comfortable with mosquito nests to protect from insects. Having said that there were not many around. The Hotel is surrounded by rice fields, with breathtaking sunrises. Worth weaking up a bit earlier to see this before going out for the day. The owners of the hotel were brilliant. They helped us to arrange a doctor’s visit and looked after my daughter very well preparing some special food for her. They went beyond expectations and we will always be grateful to them for that
