My 4 year old enjoyed the resort to the max. The staff are all friendly and we were very well taken care of by them. The food is all delicious and healthy. There are 3 swimming pools and 2 gym room maybe, or 1 gym room and a sauna room. It is definitely worth the price paid. The service given is 5 stars.

The hotel boasts an exceptional location on a hillside with elevated views of the beach and is surrounded by restaurants. The rooms are perfect, very well-maintained, with impeccable showers and bathtubs. The staff's service is outstanding, and the à la carte breakfast is probably one of the best I've ever had in a hotel. While higher-floor rooms require climbing an uncomfortable slope, they provide carts for convenience. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was well presented clean and had the most amazing views from our balcony. The balcony plunge pool was also a lovely extra. The staff and service was impeccable and we would absolutely stay here again and recommend Batu Karung to family and friends

Terrible experience. My request was completely ignored, the toilet was filthy upon arrival, the bedsheet had yellow stains, and the telephone was dirty. Service was below average. Not worth the price at all.
The only good points: great view from the room, the facilities were almost complete.

I booked this resort to celebrate my friend’s birthday and was extremely disappointed. It was a headache from the moment we arrived. This was supposed to be a relaxing and special day for me too, but it ended up leaving me with nothing but frustration and disappointment.
I had clearly requested a birthday setup during the booking process (bed, maybe bathtub, even mentioned I’d be happy to pay extra), followed up with a message (which was read but ignored), and even sent an email and still no reply until after check-in. I assumed they had passed it on to housekeeping thought it was a simple request. Turns out, nothing was done. At check-in, they acted like it was my fault for not receiving confirmation? How would I confirm anything if no one replied? After going back and forth, they finally admitted it was their mistake. But it shouldn’t take that much effort just to be heard. In the end, they only managed to provide a complimentary birthday cake, which was a nice gesture.
Because the birthday request was missed, the flower bath setup couldn’t be done before check-in. They offered it in the evening instead, which already killed the surprise. I asked for 6pm. But the staff completely ruined the surprise. Before we got to the room, the male receptionist discreetly handed me a receipt with the flower bath charge. But a few seconds later, a female receptionist handed the same receipt right in front of my friend, she read and questioned it. Surprise gone. That’s just careless and unprofessional.
The female receptionist honestly needs a lot more training, not just for that mistake, but overall. She barely smiled, seemed unsure of her role, and didn’t leave a good impression.
Another issue, the toilet was disgusting, literally had poop stains when we arrived. I immediately called and asked for it to be cleaned and for the hand wash to be refilled (it was empty from the start). When we returned later, the soap was filled, but the toilet hadn’t been touched! It was still exactly the same! I called again, and we went out for hours. Came back late, and it was still dirty… only partially cleaned. Honestly, that’s just unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one at this price.
To make things worse, bath water was already half gone when we returned. And when I saw the flower bath, I was speechless…it looked like a messy pile of petals thrown for a funeral, with no shape, no effort, no romance. They initially wanted to charge me Rp580,000 for that, which was ridiculous. But after I complained during checkout, they waived the charge.
But overall? This resort completely failed to deliver the experience we expected. It ruined what was supposed to be a special and relaxing celebration. I hope they take this seriously and make real improvements. Such a shame, the place itself is lovely.

With regard to the birthday arrangement, we would like to clarify that our Reservations team had responded to your message to inform you that special setup requests are normally required at least one day prior to arrival, and that the flower bath is typically prepared during the evening turndown service. However, as a gesture of goodwill for your last-minute request, our team made the effort to prepare the flower bath during turndown starting from 5:00 PM. As the bathtub water is designed to remain filled for a limited time (approximately two hours), and you returned to the resort later in the evening, the water had unfortunately drained by the time you arrived. We also confirmed that the flower bath charge was removed from your bill during check-out. Cleanlines is a top priority for us, and we take your comments very seriuosly. While we maintain our standards through daily checks and monitoring systems across all departments. This matter has been escalated to our management and housekeeping teams for immediate review and corrective action. While we are glad that you were able to enjoy the view and some of the facilities, we acknowledge that these positives do not outweigh the overall experience you described. Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention, which helps us improve.

Beautiful Resort. One bedroom villa has amazing views. We loved the bath outside. Staff were amazing! Only downfall was the smell of sewage to the right of the infinity pool on the top floor. It was unbearable at times and we couldn’t use the pool.

Very expensive hotel.
Not worth the price you pay.
Main Pool closes at....4pm ! ,: reason: they must set up tables for dinner, very strange..You can feel how owner is looking to make money without caring about his guest's needs ! The other 2 pools( far,up the hill) close at 6pm ! Also strange when guests are spending holidays...Check in, never before 1 om ...and check out at 10 am , also very strange when breakfast finishes at 10.30 ! I would never recommend this hotel for its prices ! Even his deck restaurant is selling sunset without sunset at all !!

We had the most amazing stay at Batu Karang and did not want to leave. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was stunning. In the best location! We had the best breakfast and loved how most of the fresh produce is grown in their own garden.

We had a wonderful stay here at Batu Kerang. Only thing is say is the rooms and general areas could be updated a little. Perfect spot, great staff, lovely views and privacy.

Honest review. I wasn't impressed by the room. The bathroom was incredible but the room quite average. Maybe I expected too much! So that's why I've still given a great rating. The whole team had great attitude and service. Only downside was that the luggage took a long time to be brought to the waiting boat driver so I would say be more prepared than I was!
