Dragonfly Village

Dragonfly Village is a wonderful retreat center. Rooms are wooden houses among rice fields and a tropical garden, with single beds up to 4 beds. I stayed in a 4 bed room, each bed separated with curtains, all natural materials. The room was very comfortable and the house surrounded by flowers, trees and water. The sound of running water through the rice field is really comforting. The yoga shala is suitable for 20-25 people - my estimation. We sat in circle with 50 people and it was not crammed full. My bliss was the food, vegetarian and vegan, glutenfree on demand. Unforgettable rice pancakes and local fruits and vegetables. I will certainly come again, for another retreat or organising my own retreat there!✨🍀 Thank you Pei for offering us such a wonderful place and for your loving presence!

I have returned almost every day for 3 weeks for breakfast while on a yoga course. Everytime the service from their amazing staff was spot on. Value for money excellent. My favourites: Omelette or scrambled - and make sure you try the chia pudding ........and the herbal tea I drunk by the bucket load. Great value breakfast set which also includes a tropical juice of your choice. Also nice and peaceful. Terima kasih to the fabulous staff who are so welcoming.

The Joglos are amazing. Quite simple but very appealing. Gardens are very calming, fish ponds everywhere. Only need about 3 days here to totally relax. Only four loungers around the pool, also in the shade. Didn't really go in the pool area because of this. Great vegetarian breakfast, beautiful staff. Awesome to wake up in the rice fields with no cars.

The gardens and the atmosphere here is very beautiful. But dont expect anything if something is not working and you report it. Out of the 4 times I went to the sauna, I only had 1 good experience. 2 times out of 4, the sauna was not working. They dont bother to post on their insta account. So you basically find out only after making a trip there. The last time, the hot shower outside the sauna was not working. Things happens. We all know that. I let the receptionist know that the hot shower is not working. She told me they will took into it and I went into the sauna. I always do 3 rounds of hot sauna followed by a cold shower and then back to the sauna. When I finished my rounds, I went to take the final shower which I was expecting to be hot or at least warm. It was still cold. So I called the receptionist again. She came and checked. Obviously it was not working. She said she will get it checked (note - this was the 2nd time). I went back into the sauna while she was getting that fixed. No big deal. I got to enjoy the sauna more. She knocked on the sauna when she thought it was fixed. So I went out into the shower again but it was still not hot or even warm. Just ice cold water. So I called the receptionist again and showed her that its still cold. She said she will call the technician (note - 3rd time). By then I began to get a bit antsy as I had a meeting at 10am and I needed to head back but could not as I needed to take a shower. So I asked her that if the shower is not working, could she give me a room just to take a shower? She said they were full. So I asked her what was the solution? She didnt have any other than saying she will call the technician. Ok. So I said, ok, I am going back into the sauna, please let me know when it begins to work - hoping that it would be soon as I was already delayed. After some time, she called me out and said it was working. I asked her if she was sure that it was working this time? She said yes and that she had left the shower on for me. By this time the owner also came into sauna - I realized only later that she came not because she wanted to use the sauna but she came to see what the commotion about the shower was. Well, I went back to the shower and it was working. So i began to take my shower. 2 minutes into the shower and once again I was under an ice cold shower trying to wash my hair. I turned the water off and on a few times coz sometime with gas heaters, the flame does not come on. But it didnt work. But since I had shampoo in my hair, I could not go out to call her again and resigned to having an ice cold bath. I left the shower on so I could show the receptionist that the water was cold again. She came and turned the shower off and on a few times. In one of her attempts, it worked and she turned to me indignantly saying that it is working. But excuse me, when I called to show you and you came, you checked and it was cold right? Then you tried a few times and it is now again working by some fl

Great place all around. Fantastic people, food, beautifully crafted grounds, salt water pool and sauna 3 nights a week. They also have a wonderful yoga shala overlooking the rice paddies-what a perfect location. One of my favorite places in Ubud.

I cannot recommend Dragonfly enough. The setting and accomodation is rustic, earthy and pristinely fits into the surrounding environment; whilst being incredibly clean and comfortable. The staff and incredibly accommodating, kind and caring to all needs. The food on offer is delicious and healthy and I can truly say that I would without doubt come back to stay at Dragonfly as it exceeded my expectations 😊

It needs a bit of Maintenance in the room there's a lot of bugs and Cockroach and lots of spider webs
